Smooth Chat Scrolling
I think you could follow the chat easier if it was not immediately pushed one line up, instead it should be pushed in from bottom with a small animation.
the speed of the animation could be calculated by an algorithm involving messages/minute(second) the more messages the faster the animation.

push? This needs to happen. Especially when the chat is going fast it becomes near impossible to read it.

I also just realised while manually scrolling on my iPhone that would make the chat so much easier to read.

This needs to be implemented! Now! Its impossible to read anything on big channels, and due to the scrolling bug, where you scroll up to view a message, but it still keeps scrolling in new comments makes it impossible as i said.

I have also suggested this in the past.
It would also probably make it easier for mods to click names and when doing quick mentions.
