Bug: Chat box clash with side panel causing typing backwards
There is a bug related to the interaction between Twitch chat and the For You panel.
When some text is typed into the chat box (but enter is not pressed) and the mouse hovers over a channel in the For You panel and then hovers off the channel name, the Text box will resume focus but then any further text being typed will occur in reverse.
It may be related to the 'focus-visible' css class being removed from the chatbox element when the channel hover is activated.

This bug occurs when typing in the Twitch chat box and interacting with the "For You" panel. If text is entered into the chat box without pressing Enter, and the mouse hovers over a channel in the "For You" panel and then moves off, the chat box regains focus, but any further text input appears in reverse. The issue seems to be tied to the focus-visible CSS class being removed from the chat box when the hover action is triggered. This likely disrupts the caret position or input handling logic. To fix this, developers should ensure proper focus restoration, including maintaining the correct caret position and text direction. The behavior of focus-visible and related event listeners on the chat box should also be reviewed to prevent interference. Until resolved, users can avoid the issue by pressing Enter to submit their messages before interacting with other elements or avoiding hovering over the "For You" panel while typing. Reporting this bug to Twitch with clear reproduction steps and browser details can help expedite a fix. If you're experiencing an issue where the chat box clashes with the side panel, causing text to appear backwards as you type, it could be due to a layout conflict in the platform's design or a browser compatibility issue. Refreshing the page or adjusting your browser’s zoom level might temporarily resolve the issue. You could also try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser to see if the problem persists.
