How can we improve Twitch chat?

Deleteable/Eraseble whispers or direct messages.

For give aways sometimes important.
The messages which sometimes contain sensible personal data like addresses or phone numbers for tracking sending and tracking purposes should be deletable/erasable.
It could get very ugly if a streamers or a mods account would get hacked and a bunch of personal data gets leaked or stolen.

    Yes, a delete option is needed because of unwanted contact by whisper.

    Yea, it doesnt make sense to not be able to delete a whisper thread.

    This needs to happen for the web client not just the PC client. If you want to keep history forever, fine. Give us a way to delete things we want to delete.

    Is this going to happen? I think it would be a great option to have. Sometimes winning give-aways you put personal info in whispers and It'd be great to be able to delete that.

    also since people now spam booster messages in overwatch rooms you can block and report the person but you have to have those stupid message in your whisper list forever

    I want to be able to delete individual whispers too, just like before. There's an X button for it when you hover over a whisper but it doesn't do anything. I don't know why they removed the delete function for whispers.

    This is definitely needed now since the newly added friend feature. Whispers are now like a messenger feature. We should be able to clear all whisper history.

    This is definitely needed. The whisper history button (or whatever it's called) is in an annoying place at the moment, distracting from the stream (and a constant reminder of the trolls who spammed me with whispers before I blocked them) so I have resorted to disabling whispers (and that element) entirely using a 3rd party extension. If I could just delete those whispers, or at least archive them (either way, it's necessary that that element disappear), things would be far better.

    I think it would be good if you can delete your whisper messages.
