Add a queue to /shoutout
This has been a great new feature that Twitch has added recently that has helped so many people gain new followers.
One thing that I think its lacking is a queue system. I understand that the shoutout needs to have a cooldown but often times multiple raids come in at the same time and being unable to shout out both people means that one gets the shoutout and we forget to do the other one when the cooldown is up. Even adding a queue system of up to 5 streamers would be extremely helpful in making sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve!

This would be extremely helpful in so many ways, especially considering Streamers could set it up to incentivize monetization. For example, this could encourage large amounts of subs and bits if gifters automatically receive a /shoutout from the stream (which can be easily set up with MixItUp, Firebot, Streambot, etc.)
If a queue is added and viewers (who happen to be streamers as well) notice that they get a big shoutout at least once when large amounts are gifted, it would encourage that.

Adding a queue to /shoutout seems like a small feature, but it could make a big difference when several people want to give shoutouts at once without messages getting lost or overlapping. I like improvements like this because they focus on making community interactions smoother rather than adding unnecessary complexity, especially in busy chats where timing can get chaotic. The same idea of keeping communication organized connects naturally with tools like TextNow APK, where straightforward messaging can help people stay coordinated. Do you think the queue should process shoutouts automatically, or give moderators control over the order? https://text-nowapk.com/

To add a **queue system to `/shoutout`**, the idea is basically to stop processing shoutouts instantly and instead line them up so they run one by one.
A simple way to do it is:
* Create an in-memory queue (or database-backed if you want persistence)
* When a user runs `/shoutout`, you **push the request into the queue**
* A background worker processes the queue sequentially with a delay between each shoutoutHere’s a clean example in **Node.js (Discord bot style with discord.js)**:
```js
const shoutoutQueue = [];
let isProcessing = false;async function processQueue() {
if (isProcessing) return;
isProcessing = true;while (shoutoutQueue.length > 0) {
const job = shoutoutQueue.shift();try {
const { channel, message } = job;
await channel.send(message);// optional delay between shoutouts
await new Promise(res => setTimeout(res, 5000));
} catch (err) {
console.error("Shoutout failed:", err);
}
}isProcessing = false;
}// slash command handler
client.on("interactionCreate", async interaction => {
if (!interaction.isChatInputCommand()) return;if (interaction.commandName === "shoutout") {
const user = interaction.options.getUser("user");const message = `🔥 Shoutout to ${user.username}!`;
shoutoutQueue.push({
channel: interaction.channel,
message
});await interaction.reply({
content: "Added to shoutout queue! ⏳",
ephemeral: true
});processQueue();
}
});
```### What this gives you:
* No spam if multiple users run `/shoutout`
* Controlled posting order
* Easy to add cooldowns or limits laterIf you want, I can also upgrade this into:
* Redis queue (for scaling)
* Priority shoutouts (mods first)
* Or persistent queue (survives bot restart)Just tell me your setup. https://veroprosenttilaskurii.fi/

Great idea. It would be even better if the queue showed a visible timer or reminder when the next /shoutout is ready. That way nothing slips through during busy streams.

Many drivers in Colombia prefer checking traffic fines using their ID number instead of a license plate. This method is useful when you do not have vehicle details available. Simit por cedula allows users to search for outstanding fines linked directly to their identification number, enabling them to verify pending violations quickly. It ensures better control over personal traffic records and avoids unexpected issues during official procedures. Click here for more information https://simit-porplaca.co/

This is an amazing idea! As a streamer and moderator, I often get extremely frustrated by the 2 minute cooldown between shoutouts. 2 minutes is way too long considering how quick and sporadic Twitch chatrooms can be!
In the span of 2 minutes, so many different things can happen. It's not always easy to stay on top and keep track of everything, so a queue would be extremely helpful!

To enhance the functionality of the /shoutout command, adding a queue system would be highly beneficial url here https://eggratesdaily.in/hi/in/. This addition would allow users to submit shoutout requests and have them processed in the order they are received, ensuring a fair and organized way to manage shoutouts.

I am a moderator that keeps tracks of raids and notifies raiding streamers that I'm waiting for the 2min cooldown to give them a /shoutout. Super easy.
That said, still, /shoutout should've come out of the box with either a queue or the ability to shout out multiple people at once for any reason. And now there's a 2hr cooldown for shouting out the same person? If the decision makers have concerns regarding the /shoutout feature, then give it it's own settings and let the streamers have the relevant options made available to them.
This feature has way more restrictions than it needs, and it needed none in the first place.
