Needs to have an option for "First Raid Message".

That would allow for the flexibility of people who may have lurked and showed up late while also limiting the 'long term' overwhelming notifications that it creates for people who raid AND stay and chat.

The highlights seem like a great idea. Would be cool to be added into the experiment. I know 3 streamers who ignore it and then I'm here wishing I had it on my channel. :( Why not let us request to opt in that way I can give better feedback?

Hello as a long time moderator for many channels I would love to see this feature rolled out to all channels. After coming across it today in one of the channels I moderate for I can see all the benefits it will have for streamers and moderators alike and it makes reading the chat a lot easier for us to and identifying people as they come in to. I really like the layout of this so far and the ability to pin it to the bottom of the chat. Fingers crossed you rolled this out very soon across your platform it is a much needed update.

Love, love, LOVE highlights. In the future I would like to perhaps change the color of the type of highlights, but I wouldn't be upset if they remain as is. Please allow us to keep this feature!

My only thing against this testing is that when I clicked onto the setting to view and change settings which I did, the pink dot next to chat settings that notified me of the new settings stayed after I viewed the new settings. and Adding a VIP highlight section will be very nice as well.

One of the channels I moderate for was chosen to test out the new highlights. I don't know if it's a bug, but I can't see the highlights in modview, I can only see them in editor mode. If I can also make a suggestion, if the highlights could be different for each moderator it would be fantastic and obviously separate the streamer's choices as well. Thank you for your time and excuse me if I'm confusing a feature with a bug.

Nice idea! How about a setting that lets you choose the colors or disable the tag infront of the name? Would be especially useful in minimized mode so you can remember the colors and don't need that "MODERATOR" tag since it takes up a lot of space. I also agree on adding VIP.

+1 for adding VIP and first time chat per stream. Adding different highlight colors / icons / etc for various cheering amounts or community gift amounts would be great. It would allow me to keep focus on chat instead of bouncing to the activity feed.

I like this feature! I agree that VIP needs to be added. I also would like to see something that highlights "first messages" for the stream. Not a first time chatter, but the person's first message being sent in that particular stream. That way it's easier to see that this is someone I haven't said hello to yet and can make sure they get that from me and feel the appreciation I have.

The only highlight I need is important messages by my mods since my chat goes pretty quick with 600+ viewers. I don't want to see all mod messages though. They are also people and normally chat. I would love if there is a way to just highlight mods when they mention me so a combination of Mods & Mention.

it's a very good feature but an obvious addition would be to add a highlight for VIPs as well, as many people use VIP badges for close friends whose messages they wouldn't wanna miss

I was able to see first time chatters highlighted message but now that option is gone and I don't know how to get it back on. Any tips on getting it back?

I love this feature, but if VIP is added it would make it almost perfect. Adding the option to allow moderators to see more of the highlights as well.

Great idea! To further develop this I would love to see a possibility to send messages on chat that only mods and broadcaster can see. This way you can inform about important things to each other, without needing to go thru whispers or having 3rd part solution for that.

Hallo ich finde die Idee grundsätzlich gut, hilfreich, da sich so der Chat ein bisschen gliedert. Ich würde mir allerdings bei den Moderatoren eine Trennung zwischen Botnachrichten (Streamelements etc) und echte Moderatoren wünschen.

If possible I'd love to see the option to customize the color of the message borders. For example being able to change the mention color from grey to red. That way it's more noticeable.

I also agree with the other suggestions, especially to allow Mods to highlight Mentions, and (other) Mods.

VIP seems like a great group to add as well - for Creators at the very least.

This is a really nice feature. One highlight option that I would like to see is a Returning Chatter option. This would highlight the first message from any returning user each stream. It would help streamers greet returning users and there would be less risk of missing chatters that only say a quick hello before lurking.

I will also second the ideas of letting mods have these highlights and adding VIP as a highlight option.

Love the idea of the new feature because it is something that exists as a feature for FFZ and BTTV but I have personal issues with both of these things because they keep deleted messages in chats. So upon hearing of the ability to highlight important things like moderator chats in the stream made me so excited!!!!

UNTIL... until, as a mod, I realized that mods don't have access to seeing the other highlights. I get the need for the streamer and am thankful as a stream to be able to have access to the trial of it. But as a mod, and a mod of some pretty fast moving, busy chats, it would be SOOOOO helpful for moderators to also have access to the variety of highlight features and be able to choose what they want active on their mod views.

Please consider this amendment!!!!! It would mean the world to us mods!!!
