Chat switches to reverse text input after mouse hovers over recommended or followed streams
Win10 / Brave (Chromium)
Steps to reproduce: Have your cursor / focus in the chat input box. Now move your mouse pointer to hover over one of your followed or recommended streams on the left. Watch how the chat input loses focus and gets it back after you move your mouse back. Type. Tadaa: Backwards chat input.

This is happening to me as well. Verified that I can repro this using Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
1) Watch any streamer with chat open (not closed)
2) Cause hover event to occur. Hover over a user name, in chat, in the following/suggested panels
3) Click mouse into the "send message" input
4) Start typing. Observe the typed contents in reverse.IE:
Intended: Hello @Streamer
Actual: remaertS@ olleH -

This bug seems to be back again today as of 7PM CDT. It wasn't happening earlier in the day.
It happens when I hover over the followed channels. Please get rid of this thing. Some channels I watch use TTS and this is a problem. -

This issue also presents itself if you hover your mouse over a username that has been tagged in a title - as long as the mouse is hovering over the username in a stream title, the chat loses focus. Once you hover away from it, the input box regains focus and the text cursor is shifted to the front of the message and the first few letters typed are reversed (or if you only type numbers, it stays reversed)
I tested in Firefox and Chrome, with and without extensions. Same result.
EDIT: A quick test later and it appears that the sidebar-issue OP reported in March 2022 doesn't happen anymore. Instead the chat input just stays unfocused until the user manually clicks it again. That to me is more of a bandaid than a solution though, and hopefully this isn't what Twitch ends up doing to "bandaid" the current nametag-in-title-hover issue that I've reported.
