[Test] First Participation Highlight in Creator/Mod Chat
Some creators will notice a new first-time chatter highlight is now available in chat. This feature lets creators and their mods identify and welcome newcomers in chat to their community when appropriate. The highlight is only available to creators and their mods in chat and is not displayed to the rest of your community. This feature is in a limited release, and we will monitor feedback before making it more widely available.
Creators and their mods are enrolled in the limited release automatically, and they can toggle the feature on and off in chat settings under "First Time Chat Highlight."

This is really good to keep track of those who are not quite newcomers, and appear again in the chat with a new name after couple months ^^ , sometimes mistakenly you greet them again and some may feel sad for you not remembering them or recognizing their names, cant wait to use it ^^

the idea is nice.. except that it interferes with my chatbot when it comes to bots that just enter chat to post a link to buying more views it won't purge them because of the new feature. I'd like it if it kept the option to opt-out of it so I don't have to worry about bots spamming my channel :)

This seems to be somewhat useful. But I can imagine not every user will like to be outed for being new - some people have anxieties and being called out for the first ever message in chat might mute them.

Have had this in my chat! Big fan! Especially when chat is busier and new people can slip through the cracks!

I was enrolled in this but my chat settings don't have a toggle option. I see other people replying with the same issue, I hope its resolved soon.

I was wondering what that was at first today, I thought the viewer did it. But once it happened a few more times I realized and it really was for first time chatters. I really do love it, because some usernames can be similar so it helped me know that they were new to the channel and to welcome them accordingly. :)
