[Test] Crowd Chant
Some communities will notice a new way to "chant" during hype moments on stream. This is a limited time experiment where only some creators will have access to this feature. Creators and Mods will be able to use /chant (using text and/or emotes) in chat to kick one off. Viewers will see a private callout with the chant and can dismiss or choose to participate!
We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions here. We look forward to hearing your feedback!

On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.
While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.
Experiments help us test new ideas in real time, and decide what to build next. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

I would love access to this feature. The channels I interact with use encouragement to welcome people to the stream and other methods of chanting already, would like official Twitch integration of /chant

I'ts so good, I moderate two channels but I only have it in one, how can I have chants in both? Thanks!

The community where I am in and streamer who I watch mainly named "Demalay". We use the chant option every single time when stream is going and not only once or twice, but we use it a lot. Not just to chant, but also for like playing games like marbles/geoguesser and rocket league. And for other announcements, congratulations etc, etc. It is fun and I hope it remains!

No. Just no. There's already features built in to prevent this kind of thing, why would you then create a feature that does it on purpose? (Speaking of, just saw a stream spammed with bots defeating unique-only chat by randomising the start of the line, because that's all automod cares about...)

This is a very nice feature, especially for music broadcasts. However, we received complaints and feedback from some of our viewers due to the fact that it cannot be used on mobile. This feature should work similarly on mobile.

We'd all like access to chanting. make it an on/off switch so channels can turn it off if they want. It promotes community engagement.

Hi, I just want to know if it’s possible to add the /chant option to a channel right now?

I'm a mod for @FractalMindMike and just used this feature. All I can say is yessss, make this available for everyone. It's fun.

I could see this becoming a great feature for all streamers! As a mod for a streamer who has access to the chant slash command, I can honestly say it is used MULTIPLE times per stream for various reasons. This is a common occurrence across all his streams, and I would love for others to have access to it.

Could it be possible to enable or disable this in chats?

I must admit that I am very envious of the channels where they have the / chant command available, it is a beautiful function I hope it will remain and that it will be enabled for everyone!

Give viewers & broadcasters a way to disable them PLEASE. I'm sick of the pop-up for dumb spam & I can just copy paste when it's something I actually want to chant.
As a broadcaster I'd like to be able to turn it off on my channel completely.

I don't really like this idea and don't particularly want it myself. I'd prefer a pinned message at the top I or my mods could put important info rather than a message they could just copy and paste themselves otherwise without this feature. <3
