Basic markdown support
- *italic text*,
- **bold text**,
- `Discord-style inline code` (
greetings!
), - \*escaped, non-italic text\*,
- \n, new-line (otherwise CTRL+Enter); maybe only allowed for verified bots,
- etc.
It would be really cool to have. As a streamer and bot dev, the first example that comes to mind might be:
Wrong usage. `!help <topic>` to show help about a specific topic or command.

I honestly don't understand why markdown isn't already a thing. even if not for normal users, bots would absolutely love this feature.

This! Please twitch devs, adding markdown support would be awesome. I can see how it can be abused, but perhaps it would be possible to turn this feature on if a streamers allows for it. Looking at code that is not formatted in the chat is cumbersome.
