Transparent Chat
I think It would be awesome to have transparent chat. Theater mode is cool, but it would be even better to have transparent chat that user can place over fullscreen video and customize its size (like some streamers do using OBS)

Great idea! I prefer watch fullscreen streams on TV and it would be just awesome to see jokes, comments, animated smiles in chat with transparent background!

100% agree on this, also right now the chatbox still blocks out a large portion of the content in fullscreen mode (with chat) on the IOS/ipadOS app, by only being a tiny bit transparent. They should give users the ability to manually set transparency of both chat box and text according to their preference!
I usually have to resort to only using theatre mode because of this, but then the video player scales down to size quite a bit, unfortunately. Every inch matters on smaller devices.

There should be an option to make chat transparent. Or, have this option only available after you pop out chat.

Transparent Chat for mobile platform and pc with fullscreen size will be good.

make a chat window you can move and size but is transparent while in fullscreen

I wish I could place the chat over the stream instead of having it next to the video. Being able to change chat size and move it on top of the stream would be so much better. That's why some streamers prefer straight up streaming their chat through OBS.
