A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

100% agree on this, also right now the chatbox still blocks out a large portion of the content in fullscreen mode (with chat) on the IOS/ipadOS app, by only being a tiny bit transparent. They should give users the ability to manually set transparency of both chat box and text according to their preference!
I usually have to resort to only using theatre mode because of this, but then the video player scales down to size quite a bit, unfortunately. Every inch matters on smaller devices.
