7. Automod's "are you sure?" should have autocorrect / suggestions

   I had an unfortunate typo where I missed the "T" in "all-nighter", and Automod popped up a window saying "are you sure you want to send this message?"

   I was confused, because I didn't catch the typo the second time either, so:

   It would have been nice had the Automod pop-up also suggested the appropriate correction or indicated/highlighted what it thought was against ToS, because it is easy to miss a typo both 1st and 2nd time.

8. Fix stream time elapsed in old Mod View

   In the past few days, in the old Mod View, the stream time elapsed display below the "Session" icon has broken. It now only updates while the session pop-up is open; when it is closed the display freezes.

   (I'm continuing to use the old mod view, because it makes better use of screen real-estate.)

   It seems that chat history from 2020 is now missing from viewer cards when logging users, but it is still part of data reports. It could be a temporary bug, but please fix this, as it makes seeing message history harder.

10. Reason for ban on channel

    I think users should see the reason for a channel ban, if there is one.

    Today I joined a channel where I was previously banned (quite a while ago) for some absurd reason.
    And I don't remember why I was banned...
    I can't watch the broadcast; I see a ban notification in the chat, but I don't see my message about the ban...
    I think this is an oversight; people should know the reason for the ban. Besides, a user can be banned after they've left the chat and might not even understand why they were banned.
    But the developers should provide the user with additional information, for example, the chat message history or the last message.

    I think users should see the reason for a channel ban, if there is one.

11. false bans

    Streamer banned me for joking around in chat and laughing nothing serious really and being concerned for their health and the timing was just unlucky after they asked to not talk about the subject but I had just joined the stream after that and there was zero indication for that including their "chat rules" just saying "don't be a d***" when I wasn't even.

12. Honor Platform Bans

    There are way too many streamers on Twitch with an extensive ban history, and it shouldn't have to be suggested that ToS integrity be honored. 29 people attended TwitchCon San Diego 2025 with 5 or more bans on file, and a growing number of other users simply build up bans like trophies. Some even play with bans just to rack up their own bans, having 20 or more bans on file.

    Bans should not just be a timeout, they need to live up to the term "ban"!

    My suggestion is a "3 strikes then your out" model where bans ramp up until the third strike where strike 4 is a permanent IP ban.

    Ban 1 should be a simple 1 week timeout, ban 2 results in 1 month suspension. Ban 3 should be where more serious punishment occurs, as the streamer would lose their partner/affiliate status for a year after being suspended for either a month or up to a year. Also any application to be featured on the main page should automatically get denied until partner status is regained after a year.

    Ban 4 is termination as the message clearly isn't getting through that the rules need to be honored.

    The only time this should be ignored is when a streamer harasses anyone live on stream, where the user immediately gets treated as if they've been banned 3 times. Too often have users assaulted an individual live on stream and got banned for only a few days. This encourages such behavior as any form of harassment needs to have zero tolerance on Twitch, and proper punishment will discourage acting in such a way while earning on Twitch.

    If high earners getting banned is a point of concern, any ban after 3 should result in a fine that amounts to one month's average earnings on top of being demoted to affiliate status for a year. If a high earner earns more than 1 ban in a year, then full demonetization for a year should be enforced.

    Favoritism should also not be encouraged as it takes viewers finding the wrong person once to get a bad image of Twitch, ruining the platform for the rest of the streamers

14. Improving Twitch Moderation: A Proposal for Verifying Ban Requests to Ensure Fairness

    I have unfortunately been unfairly banned from several Twitch channels despite always being polite, friendly, and inclusive to the streamer and everyone in the chat. When I start watching a new streamer, I always mention in my intro comment that I’m a sensitive person and hope they won’t mind me asking questions or discussing things that might feel rude or targeted from my perspective. I ask for understanding, but this is rarely acknowledged by the streamer or their mods.

    Despite this, many bans seem to happen because the streamer or mods don’t like me or misunderstand my intentions. I have never been rude, but sometimes my questions or comments are taken the wrong way. This feels unfair and frustrating since I try to avoid conflict. Being able to discuss and ask questions would help me feel better and clear up misunderstandings, but instead I often get timed out, pressured to move on, or even banned. This is not how these situations should be handled. Of course, people who are rude, spam, or behave disruptively deserve timeouts and bans.

    To help prevent unfair bans, I would like to suggest changing how bans are enforced. Instead of allowing streamers and mods to immediately ban someone, they could request a ban. Twitch staff could then review the relevant VOD behind the scenes to confirm if the ban is justified.

    If the review shows the ban was due to a misunderstanding or personal dislike rather than a rules violation, the ban would be reversed. This would promote fairness and reduce toxic or unfair treatment of respectful viewers. I believe such a verification system would also support streamers by ensuring moderation is accurate and unbiased, creating a better experience for everyone.

15. chat extensions

    extensions that allow custom chat messages for bots/users and allows the streamers,mods and users to gate this with permissions as well as to customize the chat it also would be cool to theme and/or intergrade this into mod view they would be like normal twitch extensions but can be both global(set by streamer) and local(set by user/mod)

16. Ability to anonymously unmod yourself

    There is currently no way to remove yourself from a channel without it notifying the streamer. Not by your own means, or even through twitch support, can you be removed as a moderator from a channel.

    I've got individuals who I've cut contact with who have chosen to still keep me as a moderator which I was unaware of until I was checking the channels I moderate. If I were to open contact with them or signify my presence to them in any way, it would open up further harassment from them that I do not wish to invite.

    If channels can just randomly mod you without your knowledge, you should also be able to unmod yourself without their knowledge.

18. Share report and action on reports with streamer

    This proposal is around the REPORT feature of twitch not bans. When a moderator reports a suspicious user—or an obvious alternate account of a previously banned user—the streamer is not notified. This lack of communication can create gaps in awareness between the streamer and their mods.

    Current Behavior:
    At present, if Twitch takes action on such reports, only the moderator who submitted the report receives an email. This email is vague and only states that "some action was taken," without specifying the username of the reported account. The streamer and other moderators are left uninformed.

    Proposed Solution:

    1. Streamer Notification:

    When a mod reports a suspicious/alt account, Twitch should notify the streamer as well.

    Notifications could be delivered through push notifications in Mod View or via email.

    1. Detailed Action Emails:

    When Twitch takes action on a report, the response email should include the username of the account involved.

    A copy of this email should be sent to the streamer and all active moderators, not just the reporting moderator.

    Benefits:

    Ensures transparency between streamers and their moderation team.

    Builds trust, as streamers will not feel that moderators are misusing their powers.

    Keeps both streamers and moderators informed and aligned when dealing with suspicious accounts.

    Allow moderators to create polls in channels they moderate (assuming the channel is already affiliate/partner, which it is). It's so obnoxious that, as a moderator, I cannot create a poll for the streamers I moderate for; they're busy, they ask their mods to make a poll...I can make a prediction, but not a poll! It's insane! This should be so easy to do within mod-view GUI, it should be so well-integrated for such a basic feature, and it's not at all. This should not require a third-party bot or extra-special permissions beyond being a moderator, streamers EXPECT MODERATORS TO BE ABLE TO CREATE, CONTROL, AND CLOSE POLLS FOR THEM.

    (even if this does not get changed, the incredibly poor documentation about this basic functionality boggles my mind. I spent a solid half hour searching for clarity on whether or not moderators could make twitch polls, and how, and I STILL have no clear answer. This is so basic, it should take less than a minute to search and find whether or not moderators can, or cannot, do this. At this point I'm not even sure but if it is possible I cannot figure out how. Terrible documentation by Twitch for super basic functionality.)
