How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Create an interface to allow mods to search for Twitch and Steam linked accounts. By agreeing to link them the users have already agreed to TOS. This would allow mods to better protect their channels by removing stream snipers easier, especially during events.

  2. We've all seen it: a huge international tournament or event is ending, and the channel hosting that event with 30,000-200,000 concurrent viewers ends their stream by raiding a small content creator with 30 or so concurrent viewers. While this is an amazing act of community support, it often completely inundates and overwhelms the raided channel's ability to moderate the stream.

A nice feature would be to allow the streamer (or maybe their mods) the ability to temporarily allow the raiding channel.

Otherwise, as an extension of the current 'knock' collaboration feature, a large raiding channel like this could use a…

  3. It's absurd that mods in the Twitch app have half the functionality of moderators on the desktop version of Twitch. Literally on the Twitch app they can only ban, timeout, change the type of chat etc.

There are many other functions missing, including: making predictions, refunding channel points. To solve this problem I would like there to be a moderator view like there already is in the desktop version, which includes all the mod features and you can watch the live stream at the same time.

Please, this is probably one of the most useful features that should be added…

  5. Temp mod role

What it does: Streamer can assign a role to community users where they are normally not modded but if the streamer toggles on a status then when the user enters chat a dialog would ask them if they would like to help moderate the stream. If they answer yes, they would be automatically modded for that stream and at the conclusion of the stream, would be automatically unmodded.

Who its for: Streamer and select non mod community members

Why: To facilitate easier administration when the regular modteam is unavailable, there is a need for extra hands, a…

  6. Currently, while you are able to disable/hide the shield mode icon in the chat bar, this setting affect every mod and the streamer of the channel.

Instead, this setting (or a new setting) should apply this per person, similar to how the Chat Highlights' shortcut option works.

Reason: Some mods may be more prone to accientially clicking it, Some mods may simply feel easier without it while others may feel easier that they can activate it faster.

There's no reason this should only be a global setting, I'm not against the idea of having a toggle to disable to icon…

  7. are you idiots or what?..why have you banned the channel called "Sinicawho"?..it's not her fault - neither she chose to play that video herself, neither she knew what's going to be shown in the video..besides it's a video from youtube, not pornhub..first of all, how can she know what's the content of the video, n second, how can she expect something improper, especially when it's from a site like youtube?..it was i who ordered this video for her and others to watch, to be precise: "Miss Bashful X DBBD- Short King Spring" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83tp9wyHpfM, just like i ordered "Eartheater -…

  8. The amount of bots i come across saying the exact same thing is ridiculous at the moment the most common one is "cheap views at *" (* being a auto mod blocked link) whenever i come across these if i can i ban and report or just report when I'm not a mod. Given how similar the message always is implementing a auto action tool into the reporting tool so you can select the message and the system automatically compares it to a list of common bot messages to automatically action on the account instead of waiting for…

  9. I would like viewers to no longer have access to the viewer list. The reason for this is that viewers of a channel can be poached/influenced by other streamers' accounts if this information is publicly available. Only the streamer and his moderators should have access to the list.

  10. I think that streamers must make rules about what is and what isn’t allowed. This stems from a strange experience I had with a small streamer.

Before I start, let me just clarify that I am not asking for an unmute or anything. Basically I decided to watch a small streamer’s stream cause why not and then after a few minutes someone said something (I forgot what it was, but it was 100% relevant and nothing bad) and I said “I guess” and “no completions today tho”. A few minutes later I was suddenly muted. Since it was a small…

i have an issue with being possibly being watched by an ex or someone who isnt acting as a user and they constantly watch my channel i cant see who it is or ban them or stop guests from viewing my stream , it would be cool for more rules if possible if guests lurk they get cut of after so many minutes maybe or even muted video so tempt the watch to become a user

  12. i really hate that i have to make mods EDITORS to be able to change my stream title and update my schedule because i dont want ANYONE having the ability to delete my clips, vods and highlights except me and unfortunately editors can do that. Please can we get the ability to choose what permissions editors/mods have the ability to do?

SUGGESTION: Maybe we get rid of the editors role and then have a page where we can choose permissions for each mod/user.
    thankyou! ^w^

  13. I think we should have the option to simply prevent certain users from whispering us; and not have their messages disappear in chats we do not mod for. As a mod, I would prefer to see what troublesome users are saying in other channels and then being able to warn those moderators. However, not being able to see blocked users in other channels makes this impossible.

  14. Idk if this is entirely the right category as it involves how the platform monitors traffic and stuff. It's not as if it's a "feature", versus a preventative measure to prohibit people from stream sniping.

Work with the server management team(s) on the gaming company's end, along with people's ISP to monitor for, and ensure that people cannot fire up someone's stream and intentionally queue up with them, and there be a grey area as to whether or not they're "screen peaking" via the stream.

Have it disconnect them if it senses they have stream open, and notify them through…

  17. so when I got ban form the channel and after few days later it doesn’t said who check ban request by one of the mod so I have to end up re type the unban request again

I want to know if the dev team can able to make that tell a person of mod that check my unban request from that channel so I want to make sure it wasn’t a streamer that check the ban request because I can’t tell who check that unban request message was it the mods or was it the streamer

  18. I think carrying the bans over to the raided streamer's channel would help many raided creator's with the trolls that may have been watching the previous channel. This would mainly help with bigger creators raiding smaller creators! the raided creator's mods could maybe accept or deny the ban requests maybe, and if they accept, all the people who were banned in the previous chat get banned in theirs.

  19. Ignoring users can be very useful to remove negativity from your chat experience. Right now, it is not possible in chats you moderate. Surely it is your task to see negative things and remove them, but sometimes there are people, who are not an issue for chat in general, but for you personally. It would be great to have a switch or command (e.g. /fullignore) to remove these users from your chatting experience once and for all. This could then also remove them from being listed as recommended stream and similar situations.

  20. This might be something rather cool if you implement moderators for a specific game category. To clarify, users who have been watching a specific game for quite a while will be given moderator privileges to help with smaller channels. Of coarse, this privilege could be removed if users abuse this power and the channel broadcaster still has the option to ban them from their channel. Just a suggestion I think would be pretty neat, feel free to post any thoughts about this! :)
