  1. Hello.

    https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/951706-moderation/suggestions/42550657-mobile-moderation

I know that this proposal takes a lot of points to fix moderation on mobile devices, but, with the new restricted chat messages per user, makes this feature useless if moderators can't see them as well. Meanwhile the app gets attention for improvement from the developers, at least, can fix this ASAP so moderators keep moderating.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Restrict an user in your chat using moderation tools
    2. The user sends a message

    Current behavior:
The message is shown only for moderators in web browser but not for mobile moderators

    Expected behavior:
    The message must be…

  3. Allow creators to force a timed-out user to watch a short video explaining why they have been timed-out to return the chat/stream.

It happens sometime that user are misconducting not-necesserly on-purpose, and they may feel a ban or timeout unjustified. Neither creators or moderators have time to explain everytime what is wrong with such misconduct, and it can create a lot of frustration on both side.

Ban and timeout lack sometime of context, and in the same time, a timed-out user who has intentionally misconduct may just want to continue to harass, so they would have to come back again…

  4. Hello everyone, today I come to propose an idea of a tool that will help when moderating a chat and communicating between the moderators of a chat.
The idea consists of a command that when entering it in the chat, there will be another chat but hidden, similar to how / poll works. To which only the moderators and the streamer will have access, this would be very useful for communication between the moderators and in support of the new tools recently included in the platform, such as the "Suspicious User"
This would allow any questions the moderators have to…

  5. mods should have a bell that they can ring it so the streamer can hear it to read chat if the mods want to tell the streamer something important, like if the streamer is muted or the cam not working.

  6. Hello! I'm relatively new to streaming. I've had fun using the platform and I look forward to continuing to grow my channel and meet new users. However, one of my friends and I have been running into an issue with streaming Jackbox Party Games.

We want people to be involved and play with us, but we are running into issues with trying to ban users that use vulgar language and racial slurs. While we can ban them if they are logged into their account, we can't keep them off of the stream and being able to participate if they just…

  7. userid and userlogin tags for IRC notices would help with further programatic actions instead of replying on parsing the display name from the notice. Parsing a display name does not always work to retrieve user information (e.g. when in Korean).

  8. Many streamers utilize trial mods to assess potential long-term team members. I believe it would be beneficial to implement a trial or temporary mod role with slightly limited permissions compared to a regular mod. The proposed structure would be as follows:

    Permissions granted to trial mods:

    Issue warnings

    Apply short timeouts

    Actions requiring secondary mod approval:

    Apply extended timeouts

    Issue bans

This approach allows the streamer to observe how trial mods handle situations while minimizing the pressure on them during the evaluation period.

  9. As a moderator who works across multiple channels, one of the biggest challenges is dealing with repeat offenders who move from stream to stream to harass communities. Currently, each channel must individually ban the user, which is inefficient and leaves gaps for bad actors to exploit.

    Proposed Feature:
A Cross-Channel Ban Tool that allows moderators (with permission from streamers) to apply a ban to multiple channels they mod for at once.

    How it could work:

Mods can select multiple channels they are authorized to moderate.

When issuing a ban, they have the option to apply it across some or all…

  10. I think that mod tools on mobile need to reflect mod tools on web. There are quite a few very important mod features not available on mobile that are available on web. Examples being the warning and announce features. Myself and my fellow mods aren't always at our PC so at least once or twice a stream we have to ping our discord chat to ask someone to warn a person. The announce feature is something that has been missing from mobile for quite a while at this point and I don't understand why it hasn't already been addressed.

  11. Currently, when a channel prediction is resolved, there is no information about which moderator paid it out. This creates situations where incompetent or even malicious moderators can resolve predictions incorrectly on purpose, and the streamer has no way of knowing who did it—especially in channels with multiple moderators.

I suggest Twitch should add identification of the moderator who resolved a prediction, either:

In the creator/mod chat, with a message like: “Prediction resolved by [moderator name]”, or

In the Creator Dashboard, with a log of recent mod actions.

This would help streamers track mistakes, prevent abuse, and promote more accountability and…

  12. Whenever I see people acting in a way I want them banned in the spaces I mod for I find myself opening all those channels & individually banning them there. I'd love to be able to click on users in the chat I'm in & not moderating for & same as with blocking & reporting, select a "ban in channel/ban..." option. Ideally a list should pop up then so I can select where to ban the user as not all channels might apply the same ruleset. I guess being able to enter the reason in those fields then would be…

  13. So my suggestion is to add the ability for accounts to be automatically restricted from chatting based on the email address they used to create the account. I know there's the problem with privacy, personal data etc. The solution is to replace email domains with identifiers unique to every channel, so that emaildomain1 identifier in one channel is different from other channels. If a ban
evader uses for example maildomain1.com to register multiple accounts, moderators should be able to see a unique identifier based on that maildomain1 and flag all future accounts using that maildomain1 as restricted.

    Also there should…

  14. the streamer should be the only one that can accept or deny unban request cause the stream could mod someone that a person that that they dont like and ban and deny the unban request behind the streamer back when they are not paying attention and that could make the streamer look bad and the streamer can complain to u about it so mods shouldnt be able to accept or deny unban request and also it can make the viewer upset as well too cause he be thinking he or she did something wrong please remove that from mods thank…

  15. You have the option to block or allow links.

It would be nice if you could set which classes can post links.

    Followers, VIPS, MOD's subscribers.

unfortunately you can only turn it on and off.

It would be easier for a streamer if we could directly decide who is allowed to post links and who is not.

For now, there's only this: Block links Your channel's chat will automatically delete URLs that weren't posted by yourself, your moderators, admins, or VIPs.

But the subscribers go away empty-handed.

  16. Reporting messages by the community would work on the principle that next to the message or in the user's profile from the streamer's side, there will be a button from reporting the user (anonymously or with the name visible) to moderation of the channel. The streamer's moderators will decide whether to apply the appropriate punishment or possibly report the user's message to twitch

  17. Presently, when timing out a user in chat, whether it be via a chat command, the value picked is the value set, with no way to increment or decrement it without setting the new value yourself. Instead, could moderators and streamers have the option to use + and - in the timeout commands to adjust timeout lengths?

For example, a moderator times out user123 via chat by doing /timeout user123 600. They later decide to shave two minutes off the timeout, but we are forced to guess what the new number would be. Instead, perhaps we can also have an…

  18. I help manage various Twitch streamers ( https://i.imgur.com/b0XlJ4h.png ). The suggestion is necessary as the reason given is vague to the point of not possibly identifiable. The timestamp given ( https://i.imgur.com/17kt1sC.png ) is the start of a 9 hour stream, not a point during it, so the possible examples given;
    - Slur based on ethnicity ( they're both white )
    - Asserting mentally inferiority due to gender ( they're both trans-women )
    - Claiming that another person s a danger to society because of their religion ( possible religious affiliations never came up )

I, the content creator, and the…

  19. When clicking to view a users chat history, add an option to view the messages within the context of the chat/stream (for example: an option to show 10 lines before and after the message in question). Sometimes people say things that look bad out of context, allowing mods to see what everyone else was saying may help clear up misunderstandings.

  20. Currently, in the new unban request system, the denial note is shown to the user and cannot be private, add the ability to keep the single note private, or have two note sections.

Having a "template" for the public note as well would be nice, as I imagine some streamers will include a note for an external unban request form since this system is limited to 1 request at the time of writing this.
