Disable All Generative AI On This Platform
There is no excuse for Twitch to be training generative AI on its creators. This is an abuse of your users and an unlawful seizure of assets.
Twitch's own Chief Product Officer, Mike Minton, directly stated that the reason it is on by default is because if it was opt-in, "no one would opt-in."
If no one would opt-in, don't implement the service. It's painful that this needs to be spelled out to these fools.
Get bent, and ********.

As a creator and a person, I'm extremely uncomfortable with my voice and video being used to train AI. I am streaming because I want to connect with people. I don't want my likeness to be fed into a machine that is going to trick people and do the opposite of connecting people to one another. It's shady to have this option on by default-- it shows a lack of transparency from Twitch about how they're managing people's content, it banks on people not being up to date on news, and it feels like they're trying to shove as much content into the training machine before enough people realize it's too late. I am seriously considering abandoning streaming on Twitch or even using it over this. I would rather find another platform or not stream at all to avoid having my likeness used to train a machine that is going to be used to trick people and line the pockets of those that won't do the creative work themselves.

The fact that we can "opt out" but they still have the nerve to remind us that they can still snag our content from Streams, VODS, Clips to train AI - that's sad, but what's worse is that there are streamers in the dark still, and if THEY haven't opted out, then if you chat in their streams, your messages can be used to train AI, how is that right or fair? I'm against it. I urge others to vote against this.

Get your disgusting gen AI out of this site! 99% of people HATE it, and your DMCAs against streamers using ANYTHING "copyrighted" should NOT exist anymore if you're going to enforce the hypocrisy that is gen AI!

It's a shame that Twitch/Amazon is STEALING content from the creators that create the content on Twitch to train AI. I can't even understand why this is implemented despite the general backlash on AI usage by creatives and creators in general. Hate to see Twitch go down the route of corporate greed.

At the very least, the feature should have been opt-in only. If you only get 3 people willing to have their likeness, voice and content stolen, good for you. Some of us use our voice and likeness to make a living, yet continue making the time to show up on Twitch to connect with a community we've nurtured for over a decade. That you would abuse that is so offensive.
What an insult to the creators that built the platform with you the past ~15 years. I'm heartbroken that after all the changes that have slowly eroded this platform, this is one that actually made the cut.
