Annoying autoplay on the homepage
I noticed there is no way to turn off the annoying autoplay on the home screen. I assume it was left purposely unaccessable to try and 'promote smaller streamers', but instead it only makes me close the Twitch tab the second I hear the loud and irrelevant stream; I am informing the company as to why I don't use their services at all. Maybe put in the ability to pause autoplay from the homescreen?

especially when they start with loud audio or slow down page loading. Many users prefer the option to click play themselves rather than being forced into content. Even the bold have likely dealt with the annoyance of unexpected autoplay during their browsing https://africansmag.co.za/gcaba-brothers-net-worth/

I agree, the homepage autoplay is annoying. Just today I got shown some "just chatting" stream of a guy screaming at the top of his lungs, swearing and insulting someone else and threatening to leak the phone number of the guy he was talking to. I don't want to watch this content and I certainly don't want it autoplayed for me in the center of my homepage. Why this content is allowed on Twitch at all is another story.

There is an option for that in the BetterTTV extension.
But you're right, we shouldn't need an extension for that.
