Redemption Cooldown Time Per User
We have "Redemption Cooldown Time", "Limit Redemptions Per Stream" & "Limit Redemptions Per User Per Stream". Can we get "Redemption Cooldown Time Per User"
I desperately want channel points to have Per User Timed Cooldowns. Currently, global timed cool downs are available, global and per user limits are available, but not per-user timed cool downs. For instance, if Joe wanted to highlight his message, but you wanted to keep Joe from highlighting 10 messages in a row without stopping Susan from highlighting her message and allowing Joe many highlights in a stream, just spaced out.
I like to use Channel Points for voting in week-long events. Before I switched to channel points, each person could vote once every 5 minutes. It was a great system as it kept spam down and rewarded people for staying active in the stream. There's no way for me to do that presently with Channel Points. I've tried adjusting the cost and limiting how many per stream, but all that does is keep them from accruing channel points to use on other redemptions.
I think this suggestion is now implemented/complete.
In the Channel Reward settings there is a "Cooldown & Limits" section which includes:
- Redemption Cooldown Time [Time between redemptions, up to 7 days]
- Limit Redemptions Per Stream [Max total redemptions for viewers]
- Limit Redemptions Per User Per Stream [Max individual redemptions per viewer per stream]
...unless what you're suggesting is to have a 4th option to limit redemption per user permanently?
I think its a great idea, and its very useful. Cause why other users should wait until the cooldown ends, by adding this every user will have his own cooldown time while others can use their points.
This is a good idea :)
Would be really helpful :)

cool idea! twitch should hire this dude.
Presently, you can stop redemptions either because of a cooldown or because of a redemption limit. I think an option can be provided that's a middle of the road solution to let the community still redeem points in spurts without overwhelming a streamer.
And that option would be "Redemption limit within timespan" That is, you can set a timespan, and also set a redemption limit, and that would allow you to control how many redemptions take place over the course of a stream!
For example, say you set a redemption to 5 redeems within 5 minutes, that means that, if within a 5 minute span, people redeem a reward 5 times, there will be 5 minutes until redemptions can start again.
It should be a rolling count too. So if, in the previous example, 3 redemptions happened back-to-back, and then 3 minutes later, 2 more redemptions happen, it should then hit its limit, but not for the full 5 minutes! That's because after 2 more minutes, the first 3 redemptions would expire, and now there will be 3 redemptions remaining in the rolling timespan for more redemptions to take place!
It would be awesome if you can limit channel point redemptions once per user + once per stream
yeah really good idea!
This would be super nice for things like "Free Streamloots Chest" so we don't have one person claiming the entire streams max allotment (in my case, 3 per stream) all to themselves, and allow 3 different people to get one!
There's currently a limit per stream for each redemption. But, it would be great to have a limit of redemptions per user to mitigate any forms of spamming rewards in the chat.
