1. Partner Achievement: Additional Emotes for Raids

   This is a proposal for additional emote slots for Partners to support Affiliates by raiding their channels. This feature would create a win-win situation for both parties. Partners would get more emotes to express themselves and attract more subscribers, while Affiliates would get more exposure and potential followers. Currently, Partners have access to 60 standard emote slots and 5 animated emote slots. However, many Partners feel that this is not enough, especially compared to other platforms that offer more emote options. Therefore, this feature would provide an additional incentive for Partners to stay on Twitch and grow their channel. The feature would work on a sliding scale, based on the average viewership of the Partner and the Affiliate. The idea is to reward Partners who raid smaller channels, as this would have a bigger impact on the Affiliate's growth. For example, if a Partner has 5000 average viewers, they would need to raid an Affiliate with 500 average viewers or less to qualify for the feature. The number of raids required to unlock an additional emote slot would depend on the type of emote (standard or animated) and the duration of the raid period (one month or three months).    I think it would be a really nice way of rewarding our mod teams and maybe the VIPs as well for them to have their own separate emote slots.
   Not everyone with a mod badge or a VIP badge can afford to sub outside of getting gifteds, so it would be a really nice idea to implement this for our various communities.

4. Due to the common use of third-party emote libraries, Twitch should consider expanding the available emote-slots for streamers

   Several channels use third‑party libraries to expand the emotes available. These emotes can be used for free by anyone installing these libraries, and these emotes acts like the viewers are subscribed. These streamers encourage their viewers to install these libraries.

   Issues arise where it creates a divide between viewers who have and viewers who don't have these libraries, and having viewers rely on third‑party extensions for their Twitch‑viewing. Some of these libraries are also fighting and creating a worse experience when multiple libraries are combined. Viewers can also install a third‑party Twitch‑app on their phone to see and use these emotes as well, which is also a security issue. Furthermore some viewers think these libraries are part of Twitch itself, and some expect all channels to have these by default.

   I do not ask in any way for Twitch to try to prevent any of this. These libraries will just go around any attempts done to stop them. People should be free to use these libraries if they want. But how common these libraries appear to be used by streamers, it does show a lack in Twitch's offering.

   So the current system of only having 5 follower emotes with a slow increase of subscriber emotes as the channel grows, this encourages this kind of behaviour.

   These small pictures should certainly not take much storage or network, so I'm not certain why Twitch is so stingy about allowing more slots, especially considering the efforts it takes to becoming affiliate in the first place.

   Having access to a large number of tier 1‑emotes would encourage viewers to subscribe in the first place, which is beneficial to Twitch and the streamers. I have had viewers say they subscribe for the emotes alone, so I wish I had more than just 5 slots available.

   Currently:
   Affiliates have access to: 5 follower emotes (after approval for direct upload), 5–9 tier 1‑emotes, 1 tier 2‑emote, 1 tier 3‑emote, 1–5 animated emotes. The numbers expands to their max at 50 subscriber points.
   Partners has access to 5 follower emotes (after approval for direct upload), 10–60 tier 1‑emotes, 5 tier 2‑emotes, 5 tier 3‑emotes, 5 animated emotes. the numbers expand to their max at 10 000 subscriber points.

   I would love to see an increase to this:
   Access to 5 follower emotes from the start, where emotes has to be approved the same way as tier 1‑emotes have to be approved. After you get approved for direct upload, additional 5 follower emotes could be unlocked. Then let affiliate and partners unlock additional follower emotes, as well as tier 1‑emotes at a faster rate. For example, affiliate could unlock a tier 1‑emote each 5 subscriber point for a total of 15 tier 1‑emotes at 50 points instead of just 9 as of now. Partners could start with 15 tier 1‑emotes and unlock a new emote for each 50 subscriber points for a total of 215 tier 1‑emotes at 10 000 subscriber points. Additional follower emotes and animated emotes could also be offered as channels grow.

   Will streamers be able to use up all slots? Probably not. But it's better to have empty slots not filled with emotes, rather than having too few slots and having emotes left over. Because leftover‑emotes will go to these third‑party libraries instead of being Twitch's tier 1‑emotes. A streamer can also choose to not use up all follower emote slots, to encourage subscriptions.

   Other services such as Discord allows you to start with 50 "follower emotes" and 50 "tier 1‑emotes", and as people subscribe you can reach a total of 250 "follower emotes".

5. Standardize Emote Approval Time/Method

   There are several glaring holes in Twich's Emote Approval process at this time.

   To demonstrate inconsistency in your system: I uploaded copies of the same, static, non-animated emote three different times: The 1st and 3rd upload were instantly approved, while the 2nd one became "pending approval."

   To demonstrate approval time in need of improvement: I uploaded my first set of emotes on 2/10. The majority of my emotes were instantly approved. Two, one animated "rave" emote, and one non-animated "raid" emote, were listed for approval. It has been 16 days and counting since these emotes were uploaded- twitch advertises 48 hours average approval time. Either change that figure if it is now different, or do something so that the approval process does not take in excess of a certain amount of time. I have waited 700% longer than the advertised approval time at this point in time.

   Example of this system's drawbacks: As someone who does their own art, I want to be able to release new emotes as a viewer goal on a subaton next week. If I upload an emote today, and it is pending approval, it probably won't be approved in time for the subathon. In this way, my creative aspirations are being inhibited by your approval system.

   Twitch- please do something to stop inhibiting our creativity- either be honest/transparent about current approval times so we can plan things on our end or do something to make your approval times fit your advertised time frames better.

6. Free the weed!

   Stop being weed nazis Its legal in 39 outta 50 states. As a legal medical user I am very offended that I can not express myself with emotes sub badges or any way that you allow the drunks to do. Alcohol is worse then Marijuana will ever be and is definitely a drug... equal enforcement or none at all.

7. Emote Approval

   I have created emotes for my followers - many have been approved - but all of the animated emotes and two of the standard emotes have not been approved for over a month. They are appropriate and just need someone to click an approval button. I am excited to share my work. Please approve them sooner. Thank you!

8. Let Affiliates Update Prefix

   Like the title says why do we affiliates have to change our twitch identity just so we can change the auto generated emote prefix that is never close to anything we want but partners can just change it so freely makes no sense at all do better twitch.

9. ALlowing Affiliates to Unlock Emotes

   My idea is to give Affiliates the ability to unlock the 60 emotes. There are affiliates who have or had sub points to unlock more emote slots but since it's locked behind being Partner it can't be used.

10. Option to hide follower emotes in menu from streamers you no longer follow

    I have follower emotes in my emote menu from streamers that I no longer follow for one reason or another. There is one I have even blocked and their emotes are still in my menu. Being able to remove/hide categories of emotes/certain streamer sections would be a huge quality of life improvement.

    A better approval process or at least a revisionary time period for if a emote gets taken down we can reupload an adjusted version to fit within the lines of TOS so we don't have to completely lose auto approval.

12. Restructure Bit Emotes to Incorporate Gift Subs, Self-Subs, Charity

    Several people have already suggested adding a new category of emote slots for viewers who gift subscriptions or for viewers who have long subscription totals or streaks.
    Instead, I propose reworking (and likely renaming) Bit Emotes to allow viewers to progress toward them with the value from gift subs, self-subs, and donations through the charity tool.

    With the current iteration of Bit Emotes, most channels will never unlock the majority of the slots, because the thresholds are scaled with the platform's largest channels in mind. It's not unheard of for a smaller channel to unlock a lot of slots because of one or two viewers who have the means to give a ton of bits, but then almost nobody has access to the emotes assigned to those slots. Simply adding a new category of emotes would repeat the same problem (the thresholds would be established based on the largest channels, most supporters would never unlock beyond 1 or 2 of the emotes, and most of the potential slots would never get unlocked).

    Opening up Bit Emote thresholds to include other types of support would help existing emotes gain better circulation, help streamers access more of the locked slots that already exist, and provide a reward/incentive for users who enjoy supporting through Twitch-specific methods other than Bits.

    Counting the purchase of a subscription (regardless of whether it's a self-sub or a gift) would be a great way to add more value (gift sub recipients would not gain credit in this way, just the purchaser). This would also have a baked-in incentive to consider Tier 2 or Tier 3 subscriptions, which currently don't carry much incentive.

    Obviously, a significant obstacle in including sub value is the disparity in subscription prices in different regions (whereas Bits thresholds are uniform regardless of how much the viewer paid for them), as well as with streamers who have negotiated custom sub splits. I believe it's possible to arrive at some kind of standardized point model, whether it assumes an estimate per support method (eg "each Bit or purchased T1/T2/T3 has a set point value regardless of purchase price") or a calculated value (eg "each support method provides points directly calculated by the payout value to the streamer" which might get complicated if the streamer relocates to a different region).

    To clarify a little bit: imagine the purchaser of a T1 sub gets (for example) "250 bits worth" of progress toward permanent emotes. It would take 20 months of T1 subscribing (or 20 T1 gifts) just to reach the second Bit emote. This would not make Bits obsolete, but it would allow greater material reward than sub/gift badges that are only visible in the channel itself.

    Prime subscriptions could also be factored in, as they still provide measurable support.

    Twitch's built-in charity feature is relatively new as of this writing, but it's easy to imagine similarly allowing charity donations (made specifically through the charity tool) to provide equivalent progress. I could see people disagreeing on whether or not charity donations should be factored in, as they don't directly support the channel itself, but I feel like most streamers who feel strongly enough to run a charity event using the tool would be comfortable providing a built-in incentive (and failing that, there could be a setting to allow the streamer to decide).

15. Instant

    REINSTATE instant upload and follower emotes after suspension. 60 days of reformed streaming and no intention to have a violation again should be enough to gain instant upload back. The requirements are clear but you contradict them saying if you have a suspension you lose all privileges? This is a slap in the face to those who are false reported. It’s a slap to anyone who has an emote wrongly removed.

    After 60 days of no infractions affiliates should be allowed to instant upload and have follower emotes.

    it would be nice if i had a button where some specific Emotes can get checked by twitch, even if i had trusted status where i can upload them instantly.

    Lost 2 of my Emotes and trusted Status because it doesnt go with the Emote Guidelines and thought an extra button where i can check the emotes if im unclear about it.

17. I keep getting the color Pink denied

    I've had no less then 5 emotes denied with no reasoning with the emote deny email. Only thing common is the color pink. I've even used the same emote from another streamer colored it pink, and it got denied. You need to fix it, I'm a girl that's 27 years old, i deserve the color pink.

18. Increase the minimum emote size

    I think it would be so nice, if the minimum emote size for emotes would increase from 28, 56, 112px to 32, 64, 128px, for example.

    It would increase the quality of the emotes, making detailed emotes more noticeable and it would be easier for emote artist to work on them.

19. Twitch and Discord emote sync for Bit tier emotes

    Currently, Twitch subs can utilize their sub emotes on Discord via the integration sync however that feature is not available to Bit Tier Emotes.
    Make it so users that unlock the Bit tier emotes to unlock them on discord as well.
    Many prefer to utilize and show off Sub emotes on Discord as the emotes display at 32x32p instead of the 28x28p that Twitch uses.

20. Twitch Emotes for gifted subs

    Please give us more emote slots for people who gift subs to a channel! It's unfair that giving bits gives a user emotes, but people who prefer gifting subs, get nothing.
