The GOLDEN KAPPA 24h timer needs to refresh when participating in another Golden Kappa train!
If you already have a Golden Kappa emote and you manage to participate in ANOTHER Golden Kappa train before the first one expires, the 24h timer DOES NOT refresh when you complete the new train!
This is non-obvious, and seems counter-intuitive.
I submitted this as a bug and I was just told that, quote:
"Please note that it is not a bug, and working as intended at this time. It doesn't refresh the expiration time when participating in another Golden Kappa Hype Train."
PLEASE change this behavior! There is currently no indication that this unexpected behavior is what Twitch is intending (that your Golden Kappa 24hr timer does not reset if you participate in another Golden Kappa train).

Considering that golden Kappa trains seem to come in waves (don't see any at all for weeks, then a bunch of channels have them over the course of a few days), this situation happens quite a bit.
If this really is your intended behavior of the feature, then please consider what the user behavior is that you're trying to encourage. Would you rather people be spending more money to try to keep their golden as long as possible, or holding back from spending once they already have one, because it's a waste/scam to participate in a 2nd one within 24 hours?

This is STILL broken, 8+ months later.
Any chance in sight on getting this addressed/fixed? It really makes participating in Golden Kappa trains less fun when it doesn't refresh the duration.

This is a trade practice that deceives consumers and should be considered a bug. Clearly people you see the message shown by Twitch that there is a Golden Kappa Hype train that you can contribute to that hype train and receive the emote for 24 hours. At the bare minimum the 24 hour time period ought to reset - Ideally 24 hours would be added for joining the additional hype train.

Agreed. If I already had a Golden Kappa, I would not be inclined at all to join in on another Golden Kappa train if the timer doesn't reset.

I agree it needs to refresh! If someone participates in another they should have an additional 24 hours for participation!

This happened to me yesterday as well. Not refreshing it will incline people to not get in on another one if they have one and that will hurt the streamers that get golden kappa trains.

Please make the 24hr timer for the Golden Kappa refresh if you support multiple Golden Kappa Hype Trains! More viewers will want to participate to keep their emote longer while supporting their favorite creators, spending more money on Twitch.

I fully agree with this, the 24 hour expiration timer should reset when you paticipate in another Golden Kappa train while you have a Golden Kappa.

I agree with Gnare wholeheartedly. Not refreshing the 24-hour clock is illogical. The 24 hours SHOULD refresh with any new Golden Kappa obtained REGARDLESS of when the previously obtained Golden Kappa's 24-hour clock ends. Thank you.
