Provide closed captioning for all streams automatically, taking away the control from the streamer To begin, The Twitch platform offers a closed caption program for content creators to enable on their streams, allowing the audience the option to use it. Although this option is available to all streamers, it lacks consistent usage across the platform, with many streamers not enabling the program at all. I noticed that while some streamers are friendly with the closed caption feature, others rarely or ever use it at all. Surprisingly, this included some of Twitch’s largest content creators such as KaiCenat, TimtheTatMan, and Jynxzi. Generally, with these streamers having the largest viewer base, they tend to attract the…

"Volume too low" emotes Many streams are too quiet, making them unwatchable. Viewers struggle to communicate this clearly, e.g., "audio feels off" (uh, it's on, what do you mean?), "it's too quiet" (what specifically is quiet??). Many times it causes chat derailments or arguments.
If Twitch doesn't want to give us tools to automatically do volume rebalancing and checking (the best approach), then I suggest this alternative--
We need AT MINIMUM two simple, universal emotes added to Twitch’s default set:
Increase Game Volume (🎮⬆️) – The game audio is too low.
Increase Mic Levels (🎙️⬆️) – The streamer’s mic is too quiet.These emotes…

toggle facecam A Great idea would in my opinion would be to have the viewer be able to toggle off and on the steamers face cam. Sometimes the face cam blocks information on the screen that viewers would like to see. Giving the viewer the ability to toggle on and off the streamers face cam on the screen (similar to live chat) it would make the viewers experience a lot more enjoyable. Or being able to adjust the opacity to see through and see what's "hiding" behind the streamers face cam.

Allow Followed Channels to be Sorted Alphabetically The only options for sorting Followed Channels are "Recommended for you" or "Viewers (high to low)." When trying to find a channel to watch a VOD, for instance, these options are unhelpful. Allowing an alphabetical sort would make it much simpler to find the channel sought by a user.

Ability for viewer to turn off background music I see a bunch of streamers who have separate audio tracks for the live stream, and the VOD.
Can we get a toggle-button on the twitch player, that can let us switch to the VOD channel's audio stream?
That way we will be able to turn off the streamer's background music.Thank you.

There should be a twitch non-affiliate raid filter, So we can raid non-affiliates easier. It’s a win-win situation, people get affiliated while twitch makes more money. I want to be able to support newer streamers and bring smiles to their faces by raiding them. A filter to show non affiliated without having to load up each stream you see to see if they are a non-affiliate or not would make it so much easier. Even small 5-10 people raids can be the difference in someone making affiliate or not, it’s such a small thing that can mean the world to every party. Please make this a thing if you can. I want to support…

Being able to block the channel instead of the user Being able to block the channel with the 3 dots below the video feed instead of having to go into the chat user list and select the block user from the 3 dots there AFTER selecting their portrait. It took me awhile to figure out I needed to do this. Also I wouldn't mind still being able to see the streamers text in other channels I just don't want to be watching their streams or have them show up in recommended channels. Thank you for reading.

Changing speed of videos Please add a feature to change the speed of the stream/video. I have trouble understanding people when they talk too fast and being able to slow it down is so helpful.

Theater Mode shortcut change Change the key biding for theater mode from ALT+T to just T which is currently unused by any feature on basic twitch and keeps it in line with other shortcuts like F for Fullscreen or M for Mute. The reason is Firefox uses ALT+T to open the Tools tab in the files menu, the file menu tab is opened by pressing ALT while Firefox is the main window. To override this setting it requires manually disabling it by editing the configuration of Firefox or getting an unregulated extension from outside of twitch to edit it automatically.

Don't force location Language on users It's been common practice in most websites to assign language according to location, I understand the reason behind this, but what I suggest is a feature or configuration for those that change their language (i.e. Mexico has Spanish but changing to English) to keep it that way

Provide a way to opt out of experimental features Some people don't want to be part of experimental features. Please let us opt out. It should be opt in. Twitch tells us "we want to test this new feature" instead of letting the users opt in and give feedback. If so many users opt in and give positive feedback then perhaps you can roll out the changes to a test user group. Otherwise you are just forcing us to leave feedback on uservoice, which you do not read or acknowledge the vast majority of the time. The thread on the horrible new layout is has 3000+ upvotes in three…

Change back phone and PC UI. Fire the people who are responsible for new PC browser/ phone app interface and revert the changes back to the previous version(s). You don't need to constantly change the layout of the website/app. Look at YouTube. Nobody likes them constantly changing the look of the website. You would end up wasting less money as a company too.
