1. Broadcast Language

5. The limitations of the new dashboard don't really justify using it

   The dashboard redesign has taken away UX convenience, and it hasn't really given anything in return. I know lots of streamers can appreciate the minimalism and extreme simplicity of the redesign, and don't care for much information or controls at their fingertips, but I also know many streamers, including myself, care about those a decent bit, and would like to be able to rely on them being available in order to stay organised.

   The purpose of a 'dashboard' is to be able to see and act on several things at a glance. The classic dashboard allows me to change my stream title, category and tags, while looking at the viewer count, recent events, and who's hosting. It allows my scattered brain to quickly glance at all the things to make sure my stream is running smoothly.

   The new dashboard gets rid of some of those important aspects of a dashboard, while also tucking away important settings menus in a more limited, now-slideout sidebar. I can't go directly to my channel page from it. I can't know how many subs and sub points I currently have. (Never mind the number of followers, which is somewhat useless when Twitch doesn't remove spam accounts.) It now takes more clicks to do everything. How do I schedule a rerun? The list of chatters is hidden away in the three-dot menu. And I don't have that at-a-glance view of all the important stuff any more.

   Remember, designers: The Creator Dashboard does not need to be a neat, minimalistic Material Design app. It's supposed to be a dashboard, a tool that gives us as much useful information as possible, and lets us perform as many actions as quickly and conveniently as possible. For now, I'll be sticking to the classic Live Dashboard.

   Hi! I've uploaded an emote but wasn't happy with how it looked after it got approved so I have deleted it and since then (a week ago) cannot add any other.

19. live metrics

    I like the live buttons and the overall look and feel of the new dashboard. It seems to be missing some of the functions (title/game/tags) however, one thing I don't see (which could be added as both an expansive version and minimalistic) is a live metrics feed. Bitrate, frame drops, fps, things that typically you keep your stream software up to monitor. If we could get a few more tools built into the new dashboard we could hit "go live" burry the software and not worry about it, instead letting the dashboard page tell us everything we need.

    A lot of this is captured elsewhere. We are definitely working on getting a minimal vs expanded view.

20. Information hidden too much cleaned out

    The Dashboard is too much cleaned out of information with a massive portion for the actual view of the stream. The video stream is only an helper to check up on the quality of the upload. Thus it could be made much smaller and paired with the stream health indicator.

    The stream information is a very useful part, that have been hidden under a mouse click and thus require to unfocus the game to go check it out. ( did I changed my game from just chatting to the game I'm playing ? - now quick glance, with new dashboard : pause, unfocus, click, ah ok )

    I have sound alerts, where I usually keep it open, now I have to have a windows over the other to have it kept open where it was just a tile in the old dashboard.

    The dashboard for the stream is where you find all information readily available. As a view page for viewer it look good, but it's too much cleaned out and empty of information for being a stream dashboard IMHO.
