Streamer revenue Why not make a particular percentage of the sub amount go to streamer as you guys already have the data how many subs they have from which country

Unfair to region For american/canadian users the price of a sub is $4.99 tier 1, and an affiliate gets just under half of that amount. In the UK we pay minimum of £4.99 per tier 1, which evidentally means we are paying more than americans/canadians but after conversion rate we are receiving less than americans/canadians.
We pay more yet receive less and i think that is totally unfair for a tier 1 sub at $4.99 is roughly almost $7 yet we only get just over $2 for that sub, thats almost 70% profit from the EU you make as you pay us less....

Overpriced in New Zealand The blog posts states that “the price of a Tier 1 subscription on the web is roughly the equivalent of $4.99 USD in every country”. In New Zealand it costs $9.99nz for a tier 1 sub which is over $7us. This also needs to be addressed before assessing new sub costs based on cost of living in New Zealand. I currently use bits more to support streamers but these are probably also overpriced for New Zealand.

Make Subscription costs the same value world wide so theres no confusion with payout Make the value of subscriptions the same worldwide so streamers can monitor their revenue better and avoid people using VPNs, for example cambodia paying 1.99, the streamer will only get 0.99 per sub.
This is especially unfair when those subs add time to a subathon timer and one person pays 4.99 and someone else pays 1.99, and the streamer wont know until AFTER.

Don't de-value sub gifts by making them more cheaper/expensive While local sub prices only affects individuals and their own subscriptions, sub gifting and sub gifter badges lose their value once the prices shift based on the region of the person gifting lives. I'd be happy to be able to gift more subs for the same amount of money (which is the purpose of this local sub pricing shenanigan), but this will not be the case if you live in non-participating zones; so while lucky folks get to gift 15 subs for $100 I only can gift 7.
This is also a huge problem for sub gifter badges. If you're…

Do not raise subscription prices! Go back to 4.99! Please do not raise the price of subscriptions!! I lost subscribers from the last sub increase and this upcoming one is far too much. If you’re wanting to make things easier for streamers, maybe you should keep the price for subs as low as they used to be. If you continue raising the price of subs, I will likely cease the use of Twitch as a platform.

Feature Request Hello, I am contacting you to see the request for pesification of the subs in Argentina. Today in Argentina we have an inflation rate of 142.7% per year. So paying in dollars for the sub is very expensive. Adding to the fact that today the dollar is 800 pesos + 65% of country taxes, this value leads to the sub to be a luxury good, not a service. Then I would ask if the sub can have value in Argentine pesos and not in dollars. To avoid that the ecosystem is ruined, people do not subscribe and we can continue…

Subs are too pricey compared to other services. Also some thoughts on Ads. Netflix is 9.99, Hulu is 6.99, Amazon Prime is 14.99 (and you get so much with that).
Twitch is overpriced for 2 reasons right now -
You can support 3 channels on Twitch for 15 dollars as it is right now. Compared to having access to thousands of shows and movies on other platforms.
Those 3 channels you spend 15 dollars on won't have ads, but the other streams you may want to check out are littered with ads. These ads pop up that worst times. Usually when something exciting is happening.
They also pop up very frequently when you…

Counterproductive discount In my opinion, lower subscription pricing is completely counterproductive in "richer" countries. A discount of 20% will not make the sub magically more affordable and will only result in a 20% loss of revenue for the streamer. Even more so for small streamers.
Please reconsider changing to a really lower price or reverting back to the full price.

Rates should be based on where the streamer resides, not the viewer. Rates should be based on where the streamer resides, not the viewer.
Why should I gift any subs that cost me 6 dollars a piece, when someone can spend 2 dollars per gifted sub and overtake my position on the leaderboard at a gross discount.
To subscribe to an American streamer, it should COST 6 bucks no matter where a viewer resides.
Or get rid of the leaderboard, because you're not helping Americans who have a higher cost of living when Americans are being billed more to subscribe to anyone.
I reached out to support and they sent me a…

I think they are to expensive, I think if they cost less more people would subscribe instead of increasing the price of tier 1 subs why not as a company that's grown tremendously and makes ten's of millions every year, why not do whats right and just take less from a tier 1 sub and give more to the streamers that actually do all the work and bring in the money. I have people already that say they cant afford to pay for a tier 1 now they will never get one thank you from a small streamer.

Stop the price hike! This is going to lose volume. And that is dumb marketing. The price hike has been going on for years and nothing ground breaking has been implemented on your part, so I cannot in all good faith sit back and take yet another bump to subscription pricing. I personally have had a gutfull of eating the price hikes over and over. And I refuse to go to the ridiculously aggressive ad campaign Twitch appears to be employing in non subbed streams. So looks like I'm voting with my wallet and getting a gym membership, or re-doubling my book and record collections, certainly won't be a kindle reader.... Either way, Amazon or…

Allow chat and more smiles for Tier2/Tier3 only subs Some streamers in Russia and Eastern Europe don't believe that ~$2 Tier1 subs instead of $5 is a good idea (especially after some time and subathons). They think of leaving this service.
Twitch could allow streamers to choose which tier(s) of Subscribers can use chat (Subchat, Tier2+3-Subchat, Tier3-Subchat). Also it would be great if Twitch could allow to make more smiles exclusive to Tier-2+3 or Tier-3.
These features could help streamers to have less $2 subs if they don't want to have them. And have more $3,5 or $9 subs.

Fundamentally, this is what is unfair in general for high cost of living countries This will mess up US based providers, as their peers in lower cost of living areas will be able to 'charge less' for the same services... It's the problem with globalization overall. Providers in lower cost of living countries will, as a matter of course for being in lower cost of living countries, be able to undercut those providers in higher cost of living countries. Thanks for adding to the anti-globalization wave... the more the little guy get's screwed to make the big 1% more money (aka Amazon Stockholders) the worse the whole world will be....

Allow earnings in local currency It would be nice if people earned in their local currency and not in dollars.
I.e earnings in dashboard are converted to the market rate on that day from dollars to local currency.
Wouldn't be hard to do as many other sites do a similar thing. Then we could get paid in our local currency saving us money as we currently get a really bad deal with fees and currency conversion fees.
At payout, people outside the USA get hit ******* currency conversions!
We have to pay higher fees to withdraw our earnings plus fees to convert to our local…3 votes -
Choosing your own subscription price as a creator. Hi I was just wondering if it wouldn't it not make more money for twitch and smaller streamers if streamers of a certain amount of subs could decide how much their subscription costs? I currently feel my subscription isn't worth six pounds with the current following I have, I feel like it would be smarter if you could set a lower amount like YouTube memberships.
(The numbers are entire guess work, twitch can work it out better themselves im sure)
As an example maybe streamers under 20 subs could charge as little as they want down to £1
20-50 £2…2 votes -

Have GIFTED subs be the price of subs in the STREAMERS location NOT the viewers Have GIFTED subs be the price of subs in the STREAMERS location NOT the viewers
The sub pricing idea was great but one huge downside to this is that gifted subs also are localised to the viewer. Its really easy to **** over a streamer for a month by gifting them subs from Turkey (£0.98, of which most streamers will get 49 pence.) or any other country with incredibly low sub prices effectively locking them out of ad money for an entire month. It's not hard for people to get a foreign prepaid cash card and gift larger amounts of…2 votes -
Make it so that Streamers Can Choose Their Own Prices With sub prices going up I believe you are making it even harder for streamers (especially smaller ones) to gain subscriptions. I know that I personally have a large amount of streamers that I enjoy and want to support. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to sub to all of them at once. Now that sub prices are increasing the number of streamers that I can support at a time will now decrease. As a smaller streamer I would love an option to be able to choose how much we charge for each sub similar to how streamers can choose…
