Why you don't check if a user follow a streamer and check for activity of this user in the chat?! I'm a lurker and listening streams at the background and sometimes I don't watch it at all, it's so strange to recieve a gift of subscription when I'm a lurker and some person could recieve it but because of people like me they didn't

    You can goto your settings to "Security and Privacy" (https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security) and turn on "Block Receiving Gifts on Channels You don't Follow". Also there are many other posts about this you could have posted this in one of those and upvoted it. What we really need is the option to block from channels we DO follow or better yet from individual channels so that we can still get gifts from channels we DO want them from while still being able to follow channels where we don't want them.
