Some of this sounds like twitch/amazon would be losing money and they don't want that obviously. As for channels you don't follow, you can goto your settings to "Security and Privacy" (https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security) and turn on "Block Receiving Gifts on Channels You don't Follow", however what we really need is the option to block from channels we DO follow or better yet from individual channels so that we can still get gifts from channels we DO want them from while still being able to follow channels where we don't want them. They could also prioritize active chatters and viewers for random gifting over those who don't even watch or haven't watched in ages...

I agree that should be enabled by default, but what we really need is the option to block from channels we DO follow or better yet from individual channels so that we can still get gifts from channels we DO want them from while still being able to follow channels where we don't want them.

I'm pretty sure the option to block from channels you don't follow also counts for channels you did follow but no longer do. What we really need is the option to block from channels we DO follow or better yet from individual channels so that we can still get gifts from channels we DO want them from while still being able to follow channels where we don't want them.

Or just the option to block gifts from a certain channel... Also there's many other posts about this you could have posted this in and upvoted.

Goto settings > privacy and security (https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security) and turn on "Block Receiving Gifts on Channels You don't Follow", then just don't follow channels unless you want to get gifts there. Sadly this is the best option available right now, there should be an option to also block from channels we DO follow, or from individual channels, so we could get them from channels we want them from, while being able to block them from channels we just want to follow but not get gifts from, but apparently scamazon thinks they would lose money somehow from this even though if someone wants to support with gifts they would just go to users who actually want them instead...

You should have put this in with one of the many other requests for the same thing, but yea we need an option to block them from channels we follow not just channels we don't follow.

There is currently an option to block gifts from channels you don't follow, but this needs to go one step further and let us block from channels we follow also, and they should go to active chatters first before people who haven't even been there for ages...

Someone needs to merge all the requests for this same exact thing into one... But yea, I totally agree, I wouldn't want anyone to spend their money on something for me that I wouldn't spend on myself...

This needs to happen... It wouldn't even cause any loss of income for Twitch/Amazon because the gifts would just go to other people who want them... Better yet an option to block them from individual channels so that we can still get gifts from channels we DO want them from while still being able to follow channels where we don't want them.

I've been saying this for years... I don't want gifts, and would like to be able to follow channels without getting them. As it is, I don't follow any channels so that I can't get gifts, which leaves me unable get notified when they go live, and unable to chat in some channels because of follower only mode...

I don't understand why there's not even an option for this without installing an add-on, which I don't feel like doing for just this issue, however clicking to unpause is there by default as it should be... I thought there was an option for this before but I guess that was when I had BTTV installed.
