Every month when my prime subscription expires, I am forced to watch ads while the subscription menu says that my prime subscription will be available today. I have to watch ads, disrupting the stream, just because the prime subscription expires before it renews. It is a horrible user experience for prime users because the prime subscription curiously expires exactly one month after activating it, yet it renews later than one month after activating it. The event that causes the prime subscription to end after 1 month should also trigger the event to renew the subscription so prime users are not punished for using prime. There is absolutely no legitimate excuse for these events to be separate and be desynced so significantly. The fact that the expiration timer is prompt and accurate, yet the renewal timer is slow and inaccurate is obviously an intentional mechanism to push people who already pay for prime to pay extra money for a subscription. This is such a greedy and slimy thing to do that ultimately hurts the users and the creators who are responsible for the entire success of the platform.
