Protect Stream Streaks automatically by generating a 30-second "Safety Clip" for streams over 10 mins .
Currently, if a streamer goes live for just over 10 minutes and abruptly shuts down (due to an internet crash, power outage, or emergency), Twitch registers it as an official broadcast. This immediately puts the entire community's Stream Streak at risk.
More often than not, it is impossible to save a 50 or 100+ Stream Streak in these scenarios because:
1) The stream was too short for viewers to manually generate clips.
2) The sudden crash prevented the VOD from publishing or processing correctly.
Twitch tells you your streak is in danger, but provides zero eligible content to save it. Viewers shouldn't be punished for technical issues entirely out of their control.
Twitch should automatically generate a system-backed 30-second "Safety Clip" for any broadcast that crosses the 10-minute threshold. If the stream ends abruptly without a published VOD or manual clips, this system-generated clip should automatically feature the Stream Streak icon on the channel's profile page, allowing loyal viewers to utilize the 24-hour grace window to keep their hard-earned streaks alive.
