For the past two weeks, I have been unable to verify my account because the verification code is not being sent to my registered phone number. This has left me locked out of certain features and has caused unnecessary frustration.

While I understand the importance of account verification for security, the current system can be unreliable and needs improvement. To address this, I propose the following:

Ensure Consistent Code Delivery: Verification codes should always be sent promptly to the phone number provided. A system that fails to send these codes defeats the purpose of using phone verification as a security measure.

Offer Two Delivery Methods: Introduce the option for users to receive verification codes via phone call in addition to SMS. This provides a fallback method for users experiencing issues with SMS delivery.

Alternative Verification Options: Consider offering additional verification methods, such as email-based verification or authenticator apps, to reduce reliance on phone numbers entirely.

By implementing these changes, Twitch can significantly enhance user satisfaction and ensure a smoother experience for everyone on the platform. Addressing this issue will not only improve accessibility but also reinforce Twitch’s reputation as a user-centric platform.
