i have been trying to get my phone verified for the past like 4 days and it wont send the code to any number i put in i tried with my sisters number it didnt send the code i tried with my moms number it didnt send the code i tried with my dads number it didnt send the code i tried with my number it wont send the code and the reason i am trying to get it to work is because some streamers made it that only verified accounts can type in chat so i dont know what to do anymore.

Make sure you don’t have any phone numbers blocked.

Check that “Do Not Disturb” mode is disabled
Please note that the SMS verification code expires within 5 minutes

What if I am having issues registering my phone number?

Users can only register mobile phone numbers (no landlines, VOIP)
Users can only have one account associated with the same mobile phone number - please check that you are not using the same number on another account.
Users cannot proceed if the mobile phone number is associated with an active suspended/banned account

Not even a real person, just an automated answer...

It's June 1st, 2025. I'm having a same issue just like the others, I reported this issue to Twitch support/help and still I'm not receiving any SMS for verification code. Some of the streamers that I followed needs to verify their account before chatting, but this issue was still kept going. The issue was already one week, and it was not working until now! Please fix this problem!

Today is March 31st 2025 I tried adding my phone number to get phone verification, no SMS received. Tried to add 2FA and no SMS received either. I have been trying for days. I already streamed and get invited to be affiliate but since I'm not phone verified and no 2 FA I can't get onboarded. So what now? can't even set up anything at all! Nobody at twitch cares right small streamers don;t really matter anyway why even bother

Me pasa lo mismo, ya intente con varios numeros de amigos y familiares y el sms de twitch no llega para nada, estamos febrero 05 del 2025 y aun no hay solucion, la verdad el soporte es muy lento

Completely agree, I live in New Zealand and would absolutely love to participate in chat where you need to be verified. What's happening for me is that a 0 gets inserted at the beginning of the number, despite the country code being selected.
The signal is good and SMS is coming through from other services.
It's just super strange that phone number verification is glitching out a lot. But other modes of verifying would be wonderful too.

Having same issue. Tried to restart my phone and closed the Twitch app on phone and computer. Still didnt send me anything. Wrote to twitch about it and basically they gave no solution at all

I don't know why this issue is getting a lot of comments recently. I only faced this issue briefly when I posted this back in 2020, and haven't had it again since.

I don't know how long this issue has been going on for but I'm very sure that they're very slow at fixing this.

I think this is already a national animosity, and otherwise I can not understand why the code comes to the Belarusian number and now I'm back in my country Uzbekistan and here does not come, is this a joke? Or do you really hate Uzbeks?
I thought that as before I could change the number so I deleted the old one, but if I knew that my country is so unloved I would have left the old number, now I can not change notification settings, write in chats, and even withdraw money.

ive been having the same issue and its starting to **** me off tried to contact support too and still not working..just got the generated mail, i just want to be able to chat in stream but the sms just wont get sent to me to add phone number
