    Same here and twitch customer support replies with

    "Hello TheCatNtheChat,

    Twitch has implemented new safety features and is rolling them out to a small number of users, this feature gives you the opportunity to sign-up with your phone number on the browser.

    What if I am having issues receiving the SMS?

    Make sure you don’t have any phone numbers blocked.
    Check that your device has sufficient signal and you’re receiving SMS from other services
    Check that “Do Not Disturb” mode is disabled
    Please note that the SMS verification code expires within 5 minutes

    What if I am having issues registering my phone number?

    Users can only register mobile phone numbers (no landlines, VOIP)
    Users can only have one account associated with the same mobile phone number - please check that you are not using the same number on another account.
    Users cannot proceed if the mobile phone number is associated with an active suspended/banned account
