1. LG WebOS app: no sound on HEVC stream

   One of my followed streamer started encoding their own stream using h.265 (hevc), in the twitch webos app the video freezes, but if I change the quality from auto to anything else then the video starts eith no sound.
   I’ve contacted the support but received the same template answer again and again…

   The tv is an oled cx series tv, the twitch website from the browser plays the hevc stream without any issue (other than loading being ultra slow), my tv also can play h.265 media.

2. Live followed channels does not appear on left side panel.

   In the past it has been super nice and convenient to switch which of my followers I am watching as they go live, switch games, etc.
   Since stories have been pushed more, the list of streamers I follow has completely disappeared. Replaced by an "Open Stories" option alone. This is on a firefox browser. I don't care about the inferior algorithmically generated "Recommended channel" option either. The recommendations are always awful there.

3. Twitch app not respecting picture settings on Sony Bravia Android TV

   I'd really like to use Twitch's Android TV app on my Sony Bravia TV (VH21) but there seems to be a problem with the picture quality. None of the picture settings affect the app, for example, nothing happens when I toggle between the local dimming settings. On a LCD TV, this particular setting is perhaps the most important for good picture quality. Older versions of the app were not affected by this bug. As a consequence the picture in Twitch ends up looking rather mediocre. Every other app works fine.

   Please fix ASAP.

4. tvOS 17.6 Twitch App Problems

   Updated my AppleTV yesterday and I am still experiencing audio lags and studdering on wifi and ethernet. One of the streamers I watch I can only watch them with the chat on the side open not in full screen mode. If I close the chat then full screen mode is in slow mode.

5. Make Chat available for VODs

   Please make chat available on VODs for Twitch TV app. Chat is perhaps the most important feature of Twitch and not having it available makes no sense whatsoever. For reference, the chat is already available when Ewing this content on a mobile device or a computer. I would put this in the feature request area, but it really is a feature that should be standard and is standard in all other iterations of Twitch, so I must assume it is a bug.

6. Bug: Not showing live followed channels on homepage

   [LG webOS app] I only follow 1 twitch channel (HasanAbi) and when the channel is live, there’s nothing on the homepage about it. Instead it shows “Live Channels We Think You May Like”.

   This is poor UX and requires extra clicks to get to the main content people want.

   I don’t open twitch app to discover new content. I primarily open it to tune into a subscribed stream.

7. Ignore first press on remote when fullscreen

   With the last update to the AndroidTV app in the week before January 29th 2023 there was a change in behavior when you press a button when in fullscreen.

   Now the button action gets applied. So to get the UI back I need to press a button. If I press OK it will execute the action the the at that time not visible focus is on which is dangerous as it could be on Unfollow or Back or at least annoying that it does something.

   Pressing left or right start scrolling the timeline when watching a VOD. When watching live it moves the focus which is annoying.

   This was not the case in the previous version. There showing UI from fullscreen just worked fine. Please fix it.

8. Twitch TV App for PS5 -Latest Version Update (November 2022) Review

   The Twitch TV App for Playstation 5 updated to the latest version (November 2022). I like the inclusion of the about me section, it provides a helpful description of what a channels' content is. The homepage now includes a selection of viewable categories -with ready to browse through channels being showcased. A welcome feature. But there may be one too many viewable categories (to browse through downwards) on the homepage. Fewer sections/ viewable categories could aid the homepage in appearing less clunky. Or an option that allows users to personally customize which categories appear on their homepage -would be wonderful. I appreciate that the followed channel list now details the last time a streamer went live -such info is useful when cleaning/ clearing the list of channels one follows. The addition of an uptime display -detailing how long a current stream has been running/ live is appreciated.

   Things that worked well before the November 2022 update -and now don't.

   When browsing through channels in a category. A current live video preview of the channel was accessible -without actually entering the channel -simply placing the browsing cursor on a channel activated the live preview. Since the update no channel previews are seen -only non-updating frozen screen captures/ thumbnails of the channel appear.

   A channels' screen captured image/ thumbnail/ screenshot no-longer updates. Therefore many a time, a user will notice an interesting channel thumbnail/ screenshot -click to enter the channel -only for the channel to be far removed from the scene of that in the thumbnail. The screen captured thumbnail/ image never updates, no matter the number of minutes passed -a user will have to close the entire App and then reopen it, in order to get an updated thumbnail/ image.

   When browsing a section:- be it, from ones followed channel list or any other category. Previously, it was possible to scroll/ browse through the live followed channels list -enter/ open a channel of interest -then back-away and leave the channel. Such an action would return the selection cursor/ scroller to the position of last/ recently entered channel (in the following channel list). However, after the Twitch Tv update for PS5 the selection cursor/ scroller is always returned to the very top/ beginning of the followed channel list. Hence the user has to once again browse through from the very top/ beginning. An unnecessary and painful chore. Imagine attempting to review a number of channels, from a category with many live channels to browse through -and then having to repeat these actions several times.

   Finally, in my opinion the most unnecessary inclusion in the TV App update for PS5 is that of requiring a scan of a QR Code, in order to access the chat section of a channel. After a successful login into Twitch App TV, the last thing a user expects nor needs is the requirement for extra external inputs outside the Twitch TV app -to simply chat. This was not the case in the previous version of the TV app for PS5, which made using the app expedient and efficient. What benefits does a user derive, from the extra step of a QR Code? How necessary is it? To what extent?

9. Revert (Un)Follow button update webOS (2022-09-05?)

   The recent update (2022-09-05?) to the LG webOS app moved the (Un)Follow button from the bar to a separate, in-stream, button.
   This also made it so that you no longer (on reflex) can press Right button x4 + Enter to activate chat, (which you want to see, ref: https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310225-twitch-applications-tv-apps/suggestions/41734411-on-the-lg-webos-app-make-it-so-the-twitch-chat-do)

   because the movement of the indicator STOPS (bug/badUI!) at the Unfollow button, which instead causes you to accidentally unfollow your favorite streamer and lose your YEARS LONG followage!

   PLEASE revert the UI change and put the (Un)Follow button back to the bar where it was placed perfectly fine before.

10. several streams just stop after a few seconds...

    With xiaomi TV stick Twitch keeps getting paused after several seconds, and can’t be played anymore, reloading will resulting the same result, stream will paused after several seconds

    Note: there’s no issue with my internet because on my laptop or on my phone it’s running normally

    Repro step:

    Open a twitch stream (e.g: esport2tv)
    Wait several seconds
    The stream paused, and can’t be played anymore
    Expected result: stream should continue normally

13. Overlay is stuck

    Chromecast app. The overlay with Settings, Streamer info, etc. doesn't go away. And there is no button to to make the overlay go away.

14. tvOS app video continues to cut out on vods

    When watching any vod on the tvOS app, the video will cut out for a bit, but the audio will keep going. Then the video comes back and speeds up as to “catch up” to the audio. This has been reported on here and I see many people have had the same issue when just doing an internet search.

15. Bugs en calidad 1080p

    Hola cómo están mucho gusto mi nombre es Daniel quiero hacer una pequeña sugerencia para Twitch ya que tengo muchos bugs en Android TV en la última actualización de enero del 2023 y una que salió el día de hoy 18 de mayo desearía que corrigieran el error de reproducir en calidad de 1080 ya que se congela la imagen cuando uno desea ver en alta calidad no funciona correctamente solo se escucha el audio y la imagen queda capturada en la pantalla y hay que tocar el control remoto para que siga saltando la imagen o que se pueda ver algo por unos segundos pero a lo que desaparece el menú se vuelve a congelar la imagen espero puedan ayudarnos Muchas gracias

17. The Samsung/Tizen app is the worst app I've experienced

    The app is so broken, I don't even know how it's possible. Going to 1440p freezes the video. Can't see chat on VOD. The player doesn't bring you back to where you stopped watching a VOD. Picking a quality brings you back to auto or a worse quality most of the time on its own for whatever reason.

    Every single update makes it worse.

    LG TV APP
    Recently updated to WebOS25 on my LG OLED C3 and I can't watch Twitch streams anymore, no matter the quality or the stream, from 160p to 1080p60, it FREEZES CONSTANTLY, like every 2 seconds it freezes for 1 second, it's unwatchable, please fix the bug, thank you.

19. Audio delay on Google TV OS

    Please fix the audio delay on Google TV OS. I have a TCL 65C61B and the audio delay in the app, at around 150ms, seriously degrades the viewer experience, especially when watching esports. I cancelled my Turbo subscription because of this. The issue does not appear in the YouTube app.

20. Lg app is a nightmare to use

    The LG WebOS app is a total disaster. I have a C1, maybe it's only on this model, I don't know, but the app is SO slow, sometime don't even responding when I click on my remote. There is a huge latency (comparing to other app and Web) please if someone still working on this app fix as mich as possible. It's a noghtmare to browse there...
