On the LG WebOS app, make it so the twitch chat does not disappear over a period of time without remote movement. Or give us a settingto pin

The chat closes after a period of time if there is no remote movement, which is frustrating when sitting and watching. Maybe leave the chat open permanently or give a setting to make it disappear over a period of time

    Still goes blank for me on LG TV OS 5.50.00 and Twitch app version sst-f29b09b/mt-c/lavender. I understand the burn-in risk, but I'd rather have the chat up for entertainment purposes. Give us the option! Thanks!

    Can confirm on my LG TV (latest update), the Twitch chat is no longer going black after a few minutes of no remote movement. Hopefully not a weird bug and this is permanent!

    All you can do in this situation is write a script that sends every 1 minute blank key to the TV api (I was using lgtv2 library to connect with the TV) that prevents the chat from disappearing. This is how I "fixed" the issue. Please remember that this can reduce your TV's display lifetime.

    Totally agree with this! It’s really annoying when the chat disappears mid-stream just because you’re not using the remote. Sometimes you just want to sit back and read along without constantly pressing buttons. A simple “pin chat” option or timer setting would make the experience so much better on WebOS. Hopefully LG or Twitch can add this soon.

    pretty sure it's a feature, not a bug. they're cutting costs on read actions to the db. such a lame move by Twitch, as usual

    guys, they aren't going to fix it. It's better to ditch twitch like I did, or buy another device like Fire Stick, apple TV, Nvidia Shield if it is available in your country..

    One of the dumbest design decisions I've ever seen, whoever is responsible shouldn't have a job anywhere in fact they should be in prison to protect the rest of society from their dumb ideas

    Please fix or give a reason why it's not possible. LG OLED TVs are among the most sold TVs. Is it because of LG or Twitch?

    Chat turns off constantly, and there is no chat available whatsoever for videos on demand (VODs). Please add these basic features to the Lg Tv Twitch App

    Yes, the chat issue is super annoying. I have a Samsung TV in my bedroom that is so much better for viewing Twitch. Also, on LG there's a bug that prevents you from watching a stream that just ended. I have to log out to be able to do this. Very annoying!
