On the LG WebOS app, make it so the twitch chat does not disappear over a period of time without remote movement. Or give us a settingto pin
The chat closes after a period of time if there is no remote movement, which is frustrating when sitting and watching. Maybe leave the chat open permanently or give a setting to make it disappear over a period of time

If this has been #2 backlog issue for a couple years, and #1 of s still not resolved, is this really a backlog? Is this agile or waterfall? You’re asking for user input, they provided it, bit what is being done with the valuable feedback? Perhaps some communication on priority might help users understand what this voting really drives. Thanks

Yes this is still a problem after 2 years. Chat (and after more time, the stream itself) should not disappear if it is still active on the TV.

Having this issue with the LG G1. I'm not sure why this is happening, some rumored it's to help with burn in. We should be given an option if so. On older non OLED LG models this isn't an issue it seems.

I mean, if I choose to view the chat, I want to see it!
If I don't want to see it I will go to theatre mode! And what is the point of blacking out the chat rather than removing it (going to theatre mode) on timeout!? Having the right side of the TV black and the stream resized to fit the remaining area does not improve my viewing experience...

Still an issue here. 2021 LG OLED. So annoying to have to click the button on the remote every minute or so to make chat show up, but only for only another minute. After watching a 4 hour stream, Twitch, think about how many times we have to press button. 240 times. That’s how many.
