    I contacted LG directly with Twitch' statement saying the disappearing of the chat is a feature made by LG.

    LG replied that twitch tv app is a third party app and twitch themselves gotta fix it.

    So in short: Twitch is saying only LG can fix it. LG says only Twitch can fix it.

    Pack it up boys, this will never be fixed.

    Update for anyone interested:

    "Hello itsme971,

    Thank you so much for reaching out about your concerns. We genuinely apologize for any frustration involved.
    "Chat Disappears, or Sleeps on LG Devices to protect the TV screen from OLED Burn and Damage, this is a function created by LG that Twitch cannot bypass at this time"
    Based on the information provided, it looks like this is currently a known issue that we're actively working to resolve as soon as possible. We are unable to provide an ETA for resolution, however we appreciate your patience in awaiting this fix."

    On the 18th of november 2021, I was told this regarding the chat disappearing:

    "We appreciate your interest in our new LG app! Unfortunately, there may be some limited capability at this time. For example some features such as purchase, player quality options, chat (due to OLED burn protection), followed channel recommendations and VOD playback are not available at this time. While we cannot give you an exact eta on an update, we can say it’s coming in the near future! We apologize for the inconvenience this causes you as we continue to add new features and"

    No, it actually just ends abruptly after the "and".

    I was told the fix would come in the near future. That is now 10 (TEN) months ago.

    Pretty save to say now this will never get fixed.

    If anyone still cares, I reached out to Twitch (again) and received this answer:
