1. More than one suggestion at the time..

   With the new bad update. The followed channel are so badly represented like everybody said but in top of that… the live suggestion gives you only one streamer at the time.. before we had a quick one pager review with multiple preview. We don’t want to spend 20min looking at the one at the time to see something interesting. Being back the old preview way!

2. Picture in Picture paused when watching the new live feed, even with the sound muted

   When I reduce the stream I’m watching, putting it in Picture in Picture while still on twitch, it pauses when I’m on the Live Feed or the Clip feed, even if the sound is muted.

3. Rank followed streamers by the number of viewers

   With the new update, we can’t filter how we want to see the streamers we followed. I would like this option to come back, because they are now classed from the one I’ve watched last to the one I’ve watched the least ? I don’t even know how it’s classified now.

   Please add back the filter to choose how to class what we follow.

4. Make Following List a separate, fully featured view in the new mobile App.

   I really like the Feed as an optional feature when I am looking to discover new streamers but I don't how the people I already follow are hidden behind a button or a swipe on the start page that yield a list.

   I want to preview what the streamers I already watch are doing as an actual view rather than a list overlay. Would it be possible to adjust this?

5. Browsing with stream playing is broken

   Others here have described in detail that the new format has many issues. I agree with the obvious ones and won't re-tell them here.
   Another downstream issue to this update is that it's very clunky to start a stream, and then browse the app for another stream you want to switch to.
   Let's say I start a stream from my follow list and then swipe down to minimize it (btw: this STILL makes a picture-in-picture window even when I have this setting off in my IOS settings- I posted about this over a year ago and it still isn't fixed). The app goes back to the home screen so some other random stream starts playing and it pauses the stream that's in the PiP window. If I "play" the PiP stream again then both streams (from the home screen and the PiP window) are playing at the same time. It is just a mess, and it causes the app to freeze all the time. I'm open to updates but we need to retain what we used to have and build on top of that, not completely change how the app works and take away the ways everyone used to use it.

6. Awful new update + mobile app improvement feedback

   Hello,

   It took me a while to decide if I should even bother writing you - in case you actually care - so here goes:

   Already after using your current mobile app "update" for the first time, I hated the new layout. And it is not just me, it is virtually everyone I heard saying the same...

   So, for the love of God, could you tell me please why on earth you think the current (as of August 28th 2024) Twitch mobile app design is an improvement, and why you designed it in that awkward user-UNfriendly way in the FIRST PLACE!?? It is one of the worst experiences I've had on Twitch. So unintuitive and annoying!

   HERE ARE SOME POINTS...

   1. I don't want my first page to be some random streamer I don't care about! It is already annoying in the browser experience! So if you want to "push" viewers to discover other streamers why not just create a seperate dedicated "discovery" section for random streamers.

   2. The whole "Following and current live" page should be the main navigation panel rather than a small button at the top left hand. Because I want to see the preview thumbnail of the streamer's current live stream so I can decide if I want to watch it!

   Then there are also previous issues with the app before the "backwards devolution" update...

   1. Why is the MOBILE experience so different from the browser? Here are just some of the more IMPORTANT LITTLE DETAILS on mobile:

   3.1 When click-choosing an emote in chat message:
   - First, it doesn't actual illustrate the emote in my chat typebox. Instead there is the name of the emote in text form, which is not only confusing as to which emote we chose, but also...
   - Second, if we want to delete that emote, we have to manually delete that text, leading to potential additional confusion if removed incorrectly.

   3.1 Power-Ups are still not working on mobile!

   3.2 When we @t / mention another viewer - and vice versa - in chat on mobile, there is no obvious text "highlight" box of that viewer (or ours) to alert us to a mention.

   REGARDING OTHER MATTERS:

   If you care about streamers and viewers, why make the paycut so little for streamers and expensive for viewers? I'd love to support streamers, but your anti-social greedy business model/philosophy stops me from subscribing to more streamers or spending bits! If you just lowered your profit cuts a little more, you would see more viewers supporting the channel!!!

   Besides, I don't see any justification for the current price models, in order to still continue profits when you have certain streamers earning millions a year! And you make billions a year already!

   Also, why show ads in the very FIRST SECOND of joining a stream, instead of letting us watch for at least a few seconds to see if we want to even continue watching! (You see how all those bad descisions are driven by a narrow greedy business mindset!?)

   CONCLUSION

   Stop using us as experiments if you can't even realize yourselves how bad your decisions are! I noticed this for a while now, including all those ad, privacy and "artistic nudity" policies how out of touch your decision making is, and what kind of people you hire! It is actually mindnumbing how you don't seem to care or playtest these new "features".
   Is this really the best you can come up with?... To waste all your time and resources to deteriorate your user interface? Perhaps if you hired people who are based with a good common sense, intelligence and with their hearts at the right place, all these issues would probably never escalate to the point that some random viewer has to finally sit down and write a whole letter to a company whose supposed to be on top of things in the first place.

7. Revert UI changes

   It's horrendous and if fully implemented I will be only using twitch on PC. Know your place Twitch and atop trying to copycat Tiktok, you have a whole different audience.

9. UIを以前のに戻してください

   TikTokやyoutubeshortのようなUIはとても見にくいです。フォローしている配信者がどのようなことをしているのかいちいち配信を開かないとわからないのがとても改悪に感じます、この新しいホーム画面を採用するなら前のホーム画面と分けてください、以前のホーム画面を消す理由がわかりません。あとこのUIになってからダイジェストが見られません。
   そこだけでも直してください。

    Please revert the app design, you're basically turning Twitch into Tiktok, first the clips, the stories and now the app itself is like scrolling through the lives on TikTok, is not a game changer and definitely not user friendly.

12. Revert mobile app to previous following page layout

    Fire whoever made this new app update, as well as whoever greenlit it. Revert to previous following page. Do this immediately before you continue to lose users, because the mobile app following page is garbage now. It's insane someone actually thought this was a good idea.

14. New layout is bad and difficult to navigate

    I don’t want videos forced on me at all. The previous was good already. I liked being able to see thumbnails with titles and browse while watching a stream. Now i’m forced to watch streams that i don’t follow and that i’m not interested in. It consumes my battery and is overall super annoying.
    Please revert this shittification

17. CHANGE THE APP BACK!

    This app changed that happened within the past few months.. ATROCIOUS!! I am not GOING ON TWITCH to scroll streamers like it’s TikTok. I’m trying to find THE STREAMERS I KNOW I LIKE AND WATCH!! So everytime when I open the app AND IT STOPS EVERYTHING ELSE ON MY PHONE! You guys are idiots. CHANGE THE APP BACK THIS IS NOT WHAT ANYBODY WANTS WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT!

18. Twitch Layout

    My problem with the new layout is that when I open the twitch app on the phone it shows the livestream with most viewers and in my case I opened twitch when a league of legends tournament was going on and I saw the result as a spoiler, and I think this can happen with different scenarios. I don’t know what could be a potential fix to this but probably have a spoiler screen for tournaments when opening the app you would have to click to remove the spoiler screen (just like images in discord).

20. Change back the app

    The new app is horrible , cant clearly see all the streamers im following , and there is no “continue watching” tab . Please change it back to the old version which was way more practical and overall better
