2. mobile streaming

   BLOCK PHONE SCREEN FROM VIEWERS DURING MOBILE GAME STREAMS

   I was wondering if we could make the mobile streaming while playing a mobile game a bit safer.

   I'd like the ability to blind my viewers when playing a mobile game, bc sometimes certain games have certain in game notifications that cant be turned off, and pop up upon game start that show my email or other types of information I may not want shown asking me certain things, including updates for games.

   I'd like the ability to push an eyeball indicator which will blind the screen and allow me to do what I need to do without the viewers seeing until im ready.

   Clarification
   we turn off the notifications for the apps ourselves but in game notifications and in-game request for purchases are a bit different. These typically pop up right at the beginning of gameplay or after you've opened the app.

   It'd be really cool to be able to blind my viewers while I'm opening the app, get past those weird pop-ups and then resume showing my screen.

3. Hole punch camera support

   I recently upgraded my phone to the Pixel 5 with a hole punch camera in the front.

   Netflix and Youtube support this via a pinch out zoom and fills the width of the screen, it appears that the Twitch app is almost there as it seems to support a pinch out zoom but it won't go all the way over and stops with a black bar over the camera and status bar area.

   I would like the pinch out to zoom to fill the whole screen! Thank you

4. android update

   Please revert most recent update on android.

   Home page shows only one of the followed channels at a time and scrolling down is laggy. Just show me the full list with one climpse!

   It gets even worse when you watch something and come back by scrolling right of the page to the middle of screen, suddenly your "homepage" view is a suggested channels view, which by the way is giving really bad suggestions. I do not want to see random 50 viewer streamers even if they would play the same game that I enjoy. I would much rather just see the channels that I follow.

   The home page / suggested channels view also is very buggy going back and forth from the stream, sometimes theres only one channel on the "tiktok list" even though there would be many followed channels online.

   This change makes me stop using the app, please revert as soon as possible, or at least give an option to change it back.

6. Disable auto play

   PLEASE Disable auto play, I don't always have my earbuds in at work when browsing! and bring back the follow list by default!!
   There are too many clicks to get to the channels I want to watch!

7. Sorting of options for following list

   I would like to be able to sort my followed channels from low to high so that I can see all the small channels I follow who are live. After this latest update, the mobile app now limits how far I can scroll down my followed list (like it does on desktop) and it is impossible for me to see everyone I follow who is live during peak hours. My solution to this has been to unfollow channels I visit less often, but I hate doing that.

8. Android Daydream VR Support/App

   I'd love to see Twitch get its own VR app or a VR option in the current app, maybe somewhat similar to YouTube VR's interface. I'd be happy to pay a fee for the use or possibly have it included in the price of Turbo.

10. Increase chrome cast pause time

    When i chromecast a twitch vod (assuming it happens on live streams too) to my tv and pause the vod, the cast will close after only a few mins. My other apps like Hulu, YouTube, and Netflix don't do this and can be paused for much longer. From what i understand this timeout is set by the app developer.

11. Add support for Samsung's "Flex Mode" to the Android app

    "Flex Mode" is a feature of Samsung's foldable devices that allows an app to detect when the device is folded and move UI elements to best accommodate a partially folded device. A great example is the YouTube app playing a video on the top half of a folded screen, while the user is free to leave comments or scroll through recommended videos on the bottom. This feature would be incredibly nice in the Twitch app, where leaving comments is such a vital part of a livestream. Simply allow the video to fill the top half of the folded screen and let the user read and leave comments on the bottom without interrupting the livestream.

14. Please add an "order by" option to followed channels in the new mobile layout

    The followed channels list is seemingly completely random. At the very least please order it alphabetically, or give us some options to order it in other ways (alphabetical, category, latest followed etc). Looking at the list the way it is is upsetting for anyone with OCD, and just seemingly disorganised for everyone else I'd imagine.

    It would be such an amazing experience for Android users to be able to see comments made with /announce. This feature was added 2 years ago and it is kind of wild. As of today, August 2, 2024, Android has a 71.63% Global Market Share: StatCounter.com (https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/mobile/worldwide/#yearly-2009-2023). So many content creators use /announce or /pin, neither which can be seen on Android devices, to advertise, give trigger warnings, or other important information the viewer may need to see.

    For two years, you have neglected fixing this issue despite the many times it has been brought up on social media. Two years is a ridiculous amount of time to "test a feature on iOS". Dan Clancy said in the Open Letter underneath the section titled Improving the Twitch Mobile Experience on March 6, 2024, "many of our mod tools have been available on desktop only, a real limitation to keeping your communities safe. Our mod tools should be flexible, easy to use, and move with you."

    With the feature implemented today (mobile redesign adding a TikTok-like interface), it has been made clear that Twitch cares more about improving additional ways to gain revenue and not about the user's experience. Please make the two applications work identically to each other. This problem does not exist on other streaming platforms.

16. Bring back swipe to close stream

    Bring back swipe to close stream.

    The user can no longer close a stream without being required to look at their phone.

    Before: User would Drag down, Swipe left.

    Now: Drag down, Tap small preview, Click X before it disappears .

    This is no longer user friendly with todays update.

17. Favorite channels next to following channels

    Please implement a second list you can add to which is a favorite channels list, next to following channels. Most people have a very large following list, it would be handy, to save a seperate favorite channels list, you can easily access in the App, which is not that big.

18. Landscape mode

    Especially for tablets, it would be nice if the Stream-Manager could be also used in landscape mode, with chat and activity feed next to each other instead of on top of each other. The user should be able to decide on his own which should be on the right and on the left.

20. Back button is not intuitive

    On the new app: I am currently on Browse or Activity. I click the Profile tab, then I tap the Android back button. It takes me to the Home tab instead of the tab I was at previously (Browse or Activity). Please make it go back to the previous tab instead of Home, thanks
