Stop putting adverts up immediately on entering a channel
When I’m browsing channels I don’t follow and just want to find out what someone’s doing i.e. a vibe check, putting ads up the second I go in means I just leave. I don’t watch the adverts. I don’t “stick around to support the channel”. I just leave. Clearly, this is detrimental for viewing and retention to the streamer and to twitch.
Suggestion: stop putting immediate ads up. Add a buffer of 5-10 minutes. Allow people to easily find out if a channel’s good by browsing. No one wants to browse channels and have to wait anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes to find out if it’s a good one.
