Create a Paid Monthy Membership Tier That Costs Less Than Turbo
I think there could be a paid monthly membership tier for Twitch in between having no paid membership and having Turbo. This tier could cost $7.99 per month and members could receive 5 minutes of delay time to start playing pre-role ads whenever they occur, 40 days of VOD storage, and the expanded emoticon set. Viewers who technically want some kind of membership, but find Turbo a little too steep might be open to something like this.

Improving the mobile experience comes down to right-sized options and clear guidance—not one-size-fits-all. Your mid-tier membership idea mirrors how people choose physical storage: compare sizes, then pick exactly what’s needed. For a real-world parallel, a storage units size guide like https://selfstoragerichmondky.com helps users decide quickly without overpaying. Personalization + clarity = better UX.
