Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

Up until today, I had experienced the random stream switch twice. Once I was audio-only with my phone in my pocket and was suddenly hearing audio that made no sense. I woke up my phone and assumed that my phone somehow activated in my pocket and switched me to a gaming stream I'd never seen before. Then it happened right in front of me. My phone was propped up a foot away from me in landscape mode and I wasn't touching anything but my lunch. It switched me to another stream (this time one that I actually followed). Today it happened twice in one day. Actually twice in one lunch! I wasn't touching my phone at all and it sent me first to a different stream that I follow, and then 20 minutes later to a different stream that I don't follow. The random stream switch is absolutely bonkers. This never happened before the app update and I think today's glitching is simply because I updated the app this morning! What is going on with this? The app changes truly are a nightmare, look ugly, and have added no functionality. Quite the opposite, for me. If Twitch won't allow me to watch the stream I want to, that's a complete lack of function in my view.

I'm glad partners were allowed to multi stream.
I've switched to watching my streams on a functional platform. -

I'm just going to run through their patch notes so that they have my voice on this.
What we’re working on now:
- Adding more metadata to the following drawer, like stream titles and thumbnails
---Excellent! This is a great improvement to what you currently have and will be helpful.- Making it easier to access your followed content in the feed. We may experiment with a following feed or adding filters to your feed
--- Sounds good, though I question the need for it to be a "feed" at all.
- Letting you open your following drawer without leaving the current stream you’re watching
--- Good, seems like a good thing to address and repair
- Delivering vertical video in the feed
--- ...Who is asking for this? What vertical video? I've never seen a portrait oriented stream on twitch. This seems, forgive my lack of tact with this, stupid. If you are going to continue forcing the feed onto us, could you allow us to use the feed in landscape mode so that the streams in the feed actually use the screen space of our phones?
- Bringing “continue watching” back to the mobile app"
---This would be amazing and a huge help. I've currently given up on watching not-live content on the phone because it's so awful to navigate.
I'm part appreciative of the things you're looking to fix now, and partly still completely blindsided by what these changes show Twitch management thinks Twitch the platform is. Vertical video, vertical scrolling feeds, AUTO scrolling feeds, followed channels shoved in a corner out of sight, non followed channels shoved in your face...none of this describes what Twitch as a platform has been. The content these features exist for is not content that made twitch what it is. I'm not needing a feed to flip between multi-hour streams. If the content these features are aimed for is what twitch is trying to become, I worry Twitch management has a myopic view of the content platform landscape and are trying to forcefully implement features from a platform they aren't. Pushing Twitch in an asinine direction solely for the sake of change.

Not reverting the Twitch App user interfaces for Apple mobile users is ultimately forcing us to switch and just watch content on YouTube… Please listen to the community on this as whole. If it isn’t broke, don’t “fix” it, and in this case, they broke everything that most of us loved and came here for.

I don’t say this lightly. This new is offensive to my eyes, a total hot mess. This was truly THE MOST unnecessary change I’ve seen in my 34 years of life. I’m sorry to whoever’s baby this was, but what was wrong/broken and required . . . This.

The new interface is utter trash. I have never, ever been presented with a streamer I even remotely thought looked interesting enough to continue watching, and have to go searching for where to find the people I literally pay to watch. Whoever designed it/forced someone to design it obviously doesn't use Twitch, and has never interacted with the user base.
TikTok's design works because the videos are short. Your average Twitch stream lasts 2 hours or more, making a "swipe for the next" design utterly moronic. A place you go to to buy full 5-course steak meals has no need for a sushi-belt up front.

Here's the summation of the Patch Notes for anyone who missed the summary tweet:
"What we’ve done so far:
- Shipped a fix for a bug that was sending viewers to another stream while they were watching a stream. Make sure to update your app and let us know if you still experience this issue on UserVoice
- Added the ability to sort your followed channels in the following drawer
- Made improvements to the picture in picture experience on Android and iOS
- Respected autoplay settings at launch and muted the feed by default, which can be changed in your settingsWhat we’re working on now:
- Adding more metadata to the following drawer, like stream titles and thumbnails
- Making it easier to access your followed content in the feed. We may experiment with a following feed or adding filters to your feed
- Letting you open your following drawer without leaving the current stream you’re watching
- Delivering vertical video in the feed
- Bringing “continue watching” back to the mobile app"So basically what y'all are saying is "We're fixing what we unnecessarily broke but we refuse to simply undo what we did, so you still will have to deal with the stupid feed instead of your followed streams being front and center, and you'll continue to have to take multiple steps to find your followed game categories." Makr it make sense, please.

I fully support it! How could they even think of such an update??? Bring back the “Continue Watching” section and remove tik tok from the main page!!!

When I open the app, I don't want TikTok. I want Twitch. For some reason, however, I'm only seeing TikTok.
Seriously though, revert this. When I do watch streams, I indend to stick around. I don't intend to doom scroll on the home page. It's just harder to find something I want to watch.
I want to be able to open Twitch, see my followed channels, see the name and thumbnail of the streams, and choose the most appealing one. Please, listen to the users you still have.
No one liked it in testing, no one likes it now.
I'm swapping to an older version of the app tomorrow. I'm sorry to all you Apple users out there. Please fix this horrendous change.

Below me iBlank just mentioned that apparently the devs said "well there's still a follow list"
It's not a great option though! There's been multiple streams this month I would've watched if I saw the title and knew what it was about, but I didn't watch them because I couldn't see the title! I didn't know what my followed streams were actually doing! The only thing I have to go on is the category and that's not always very descriptive. A thumbnail+title is infinitely more helpful, especially since my favorite streams are gimmick streams that try to do something unique with whatever game they're playing

Welp, there's no hope in getting the following page as the default again. Dan and jeremy/jezforrester seem to be all in on keeping the feed format, even for people you follow. Hopefully enough people cancel subs/turbos/install adblockers
Dan from the latest patch notes: For those of you that are: "look i just want to look at my followed channels," which I fully appreciate, that is absolutely a use case. "I want to scan my followed channels, see who's live." As jeremy already highlighted, we've updated the sorting, we're gonna be working on metadata, and to get your follow list all you need to do is a quick swipe and now you've got your followed list. So for those users, that that is how they like to navigate twitch, it is very easy to get to your list of followed channels, and we're gonna be continuing to be working and looking how to improve that and add metadata so that way you can get the information you need if that's the way you want to interact.

I can’t stand the new update! I can’t see the recommended channels anymore. It takes away from the experience of discovering new streamers, and it makes me not want to use the app.
The update took away the continue watching feature. I would stop vods at a certain point then pick up later, now in order to do that I have to use a longer, less convenient way. Please restore the previous home layout

Please put this back to some approximation of how it was, it's clear you've taken inspiration from TikTok and YouTube shorts. Doom scrolling content on twitch is pointless, just give us the 2 things we have continuously asked for, a proper search and a filter by content. That's all. We'll take the rest of the app as is for now, just give us the ONE thing you've never actually achieved properly, a way to navigate your website to find what WE want to find.

I have hundreds of applications on my phone and none of them waste screen space as much as the new twitch home page.
The UX experience is so bad that Apple wouldn’t approve it on the store if it wasn’t Twitch.
I can still access a decent list view when I go to discover -> channels.
However I can’t filter by “followed”.You’ve effectively made content I want to watch harder to find than the content I don’t want to watch.

It really is terrible. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a UI regression this bad ever… no clue how the PM’s greenlit this design — it’s so, so bad.

I don't know why it's a off shoot of TikTok now. So difficult to find the channels I'm following.
Bring back the old app, its actively killing views on small channels because you can't find them.
The new look would be better as a discover page.
