Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

I thought the mobile app was bad BEFORE the redesign, but now I look back at that janky mess with fondness. This new redesign is horrible.

Please go back to the old way! This is so annoying it’s not even funny….if I wanted to watch someone stream TikTok style, I’d just go to TikTok….i hate it there and I hate it here…please go back to the other way! Thanks

i ended up uninstalling the new app and finding an .apk of the previous version and turning auto update off for twitch. I now have a twitch app with a usable interface as opposed to the mess that is the new app.

Twitch following the trend of all apps becoming like TikTok means no one will remember to use Twitch since they'll be using the other, better, apps.

Twitch really is fully intent on listening to shareholders who think every service runs the same, huh? I cannot think of a PM so incompetent that they'd think Tiktok is what people want for Twitch.
I fully anticipate us all being ignored because no one at the top of Twitch actually cares how unusable this is. It's actually so blatantly obvious this was designed by executives and not by a single person who knows what streaming is or how the audience watches Twitch. I'd say it's hilarious how bad it is but at this point it's just sad that this many companies think we're this dumb.

The new UI makes is completely unsuitable for streams. I don't want to constantly flick through them like I'm watching shorts, I want to look for something I'm interested in and stay for a while. This update makes that much harder to do and makes it more difficult to watch past streams. It also reduces the potential for smaller streamers to get new viewers as instead of potentially showing up as a recommended channel (which no longer exists) they are shuffled into a feed where all of the bigger streamers are at the top. Please at least have an option to revert to the old layout.

Why does a 16:9 horizontal video format need to be put into a UX designed for vertical videos? It's so unnatural.
When I log in I want to see who's online. Now instead of a scroll and a click to get to my goal, I need to either swipe and get lucky (what the ****??) or open the side bar and then click somewhere.
It's unnecessarily complicated and I'm now switching to the web version of twitch to see who is online. Thank you for making my twitch experience unnecessarily complicated and awful. At LEAST let me choose what layout my starting page is. I eant to disable the Tiktok **** and go back. I am very unhappy. Almost a decade of me watching streams on twitch and this update sucks the joy out of scrolling through the streams. Awful.

What a terrible design decision, who cares if they add some stupid TikTok feed nonsense tab, but removing the home page entirely, making followed categories completely invisible, eliminating stream thumbnails, and getting rid of the ability to see your followed streams sorted by popularity are all so bafflingly stupid it makes you wonder if the developers have even used the app.

Absolutely hot garbage. I'm hoping chiming in (and directing others to do so here as well) as they prompt you to when first updating to it ie"share suggestions with us on UserVoice" will get them to revert it. I dream of a world where UX design follows a "If it ain't broke don't fix it." mantra but that is probably ignorant.
They reverted their change with the great unleashing of Lewd Art during the Pandora's Box esque experiment with that earlier this year, so let's hope they aren't beyond feedback on the overall UI as well.
I without exaggeration haven't heard a single person that likes the change. Revert to a previous iteration or allow users to pick a "Classic View" please...

My phone has just auto updated to the new UI. This is awful.
Streams are not TikTok’s and a feed like UX is terrible for this.As a user I want to see all my followed channels, in a list, with a preview image, and the stream title, so that I can easily navigate to the stream I want to watch in the most efficient manner.
There’s your new user story.

This update is awful. Please put it back. The home page was fine. I could see who was streaming from the people I followed and a few recommendations. It would also tell me if there were new vods from streams I’d missed by people I followed. If I wanted to discover new streamers, I’d hop on over to one of the other tabs. Now we have another endless scroll in an app that doesn’t in the least bit benefit from it. It’s so much worse now. I just want that homepage back.

Absolutely horrible change. In every possible way, from every possible perspective. If you must absolutely positively become TikTok because shareholders demand it, then at MINIMUM give us the option to not have the stupid terrible "feed" as the home page.
Twitch must be purposefully tanking the mobile app. There is no other explanation for first the Stories "feature" and now this redesign, which completely eliminated that feature. I'll be using 3rd party apps now.
Fix this, Twitch.
