Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

This is absolutely awful. I’m sorry that the team put time and effort into this but it’s possibly the worst change you could have made.
I want to see a list of creators I follow with their stream titles so I know what is going on.
The new interface doesn’t do that and is a huge regression. Please put it back or at the very least give us a toggle

You devs must HATE mobile users. Forcing the most awful gui change any app has rolled out in existence onto all. Makes me regret not having an android that I can just install an old apk version of the app on. Also I should mention this is the first time I have seeked out the feedback page due to this issue. That speaks volumes as to how poorly recieved this update is. WE DONT WANT TIKTOK LAYOUT FORCED ONTO US. IF I WANTED THAT, I WOULD USE TIKTOK BECAUSE GUESS WHAT, THEY DO IT MUCH BETTER THAN YOU. How do you think landscape videos presented on a portrait screen can ever look good with half the screen wasted? IT DOESNT WORK THE SAME. STAY IN YOUR LANE. REVERT THE CHANGES NOW. Or add a toggle to switch between layouts. Looks like we have to switch to alternative platforms for the time being...

I couldn't agree more with the complaints...
Twitch, who are your products managers/owners?? Do they actually understand your users, or are they just blindly copying other apps? Feels like the later. I literally avoid your apps whenever possible because they are increasingly so bad, I have already abandoned the FireTV app for S0undTV and will now be looking for alternatives on mobile...
When I open the app now, I see a preview for a single streamer. Before I'd see a list of all the creators I follow, thumbnails of what their streaming, and the title of their stream to provide context for their stream, all at a glance. Now... I have to thumb through one by one to understand this. But you've actually made it so much worse...
How about hit the following button to see that original home dashboard of streams? Nope, click that and you simply get a list of the streams and the games they're playing. No titles, not thumbnails, no context.
WHY WITH EVERY MAJOR UPDATE DO YOU MAKE THE USER EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR USERS WORSE, TWITCH?
Final note: If you're going to make me thumb through the live streams of my followed streamers 1 by 1 tiktok style when I first open the app... Why the F am I seeing the streams of creators that I don't follow before I have exhausted the list of live followed streamers?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!!???!!!? Just now, I had three followed streamers that were live. At load, the app previewed one of those three. Thumb down, I see another. Thumb down, I was present with Ironmouse, who I don't follow. I had to thumb down again to get to my final live streamer, Zizaran. THAT SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN. It makes me actively angry that you are disregarding the decisions I have actively made about the content I want to enjoy and consume as a customer and user, and instead are PUSHING content upon me when you have the information to know I have said I want something else.
Seriously, my last post here was railing against the FireTV app over the last major update I used. And I'm on here again, pitching a fit over how out of touch your product manager/owner team is. They should actually be fired... Literally and not even joking. And I say that as an Agile Product Owner/Manager myself. (And my suggestion to roll the last major FireTV app update back, because, like this mobile update, it is actually terrible... It's been over 2 years, and a recent comment suggests no action has been taken, yet it continues to be the second most voted item in that category... Unfortunately, I suspect it will be the same here. Among the top requested changes, with no action taken. Out of touch...)
I'm actually so angry over this...
Edit: I have downloaded an APK of the last 19.X version of the app, installed it, and disabled auto updates so I don't have to be assaulted by this horrific update. And my life is so much better for it, thank you internet... #$1& you, Twitch. PS: Please don't change your system in a way that prevents the v19.X from working before you fix this $h1tshow. Wishful thinking... I know. But... Please? 🫶

Bring back live following list page with no autoplay just their thumbnails as the home page and put the autoplay screen on different "discovery" page or something, this is just annoying to use now

I dislike the most recent update to the mobile app. I don't understand why when I open up the app I only see a close up video of one person who's streaming - how is that selected? Is it done fairly? According to highest view count? That doesn't sound very fair to me. I liked having the list of streamers live on the home page because then I could quickly scroll through and get information to see who is live, what they're streaming and see a quick snapshot of the screen. This is useful because I can a) avoid spoilers and b) avoid the risk of having the sound from a video pop up every time I open the app (setting that homepage stream so it's muted doesn't help that much. It's so easy to accidentally click and unmute.) I also dislike how when one stream ends the stream on the homepage is from someone I don't follow. I saw that someone i followed was live but instead of seeing their stream I got a random suggestion filling the screen instead. It's not lost on me the suggested stream had thousands of views as well - how is that fair to streamers who don't have as big audiences? It feels like twitch is pushing streamers with larger followers instead of showing me the streamers that I *chose* to follow. Please reverse this update - it's giving tik tok (which I don't use) and is completely unsuitable for a primarily streaming platform. Edit - to add to what everyone else is saying- I also cannot see the option to carry on from VODS I was watching before, which I constantly utilised

Twitch is not TikTok, nor do I want to watch 30s of a random live and switch to another one. I open twitch to see which people that I follow are online and continue watching my VOD from the Continue Watching section (where the f this section is now ??). Autoplaying some hot garbage when opening the app is also horrible. Revert this awful update.

This update is the most trash user experience I've ever had with an app and that is not hyperbole. I can't see who I follow as soon as I load in but instead get blasted with a full screen video. I come to Twitch for Twitch, not for TikTok. I guess you didn't get the message when everyone muted and ignored the Stories function so now you are shoving it directly at us... This is a terrible experience.

This is the worst thing Twitch has ever done ever, no exaggeration. All this does is make the app harder to navigate, continue to give big streamers an extra boost they don't need, and punish small streamers for being small. It's all negatives, there is not one single net positive of this, it's all just algorithmic slop that benefits absolutely nobody. There are still so many bugs that the Twitch mobile app has and yet this is the update they push?
No. I'm done. This is the one that makes me get up and move. If they don't revert this by the end of August, I'm taking my entire community to YouTube and I'm bringing every other VTuber I know with me. This is beyond unacceptable.

Agreed, I can't believe this horrible update actually got released. Really bad sign for the direction twitch is headed. Does anyone who works at Twitch actually watch any streams?

The app is TRASH now. I do not want to see a tiktok style video feed of recommended streamers I don't follow. I want to see the people I already follow and support. I want to see a preview of what the people I already follow are doing, not just see a list format of them while Twitch shoves someone else in my face. PiP does not work anymore, you can't view a stream and browse twitch anymore. The UI as a whole, is garbage. Overall it's just a clunky wannabe version of tiktok. The UI is atrocious and not well thought out imo. I've had turbo for years but I got rid of it bc of this update and the way that Twitch support just brushes you off to redirect you to UserVoice is not it.
