Just got the update on Android. Wish I could go back, it's so awful. Bring back the "continue watching" section please

literally just made a stream elements command to link to this page to try and get people to vote the app back to its proper state. EFF this new ui.

if anyone else wants to do the same to help the cause, heres what to type to add the command:

They just pushed this to android too. I straight un-installed it's unusable. I may just stop watching twitch entirely since you can't chat from the mobile site.

Please roll this back. This new feature makes it hard watch any live stream as it keeps pausing it when you want to get out. And it keeps crashing.

Let me open by saying I know the struggles of development but I'm confused by the goal of this the latest update.
When I open the app, I want the first screen to be a list of live creators I follow (exactly how it was prior to the update). Removing this and requiring me to reach across the entire screen (I'm right handed) just to view my list of followed channels is a real disservice. I follow many different genres of streamers and I only watch some in particular moods or locations. Throwing a "top" one or a random one on screen is useless.
I'm 99.99% sure I will never use the new "feed" no matter who may be featured on jt and will always go immediately to my following list.

Additionally I found the original arrangement of followed channels, suggested channels, continue watching very convenient and intuitive as it directly reflects how I search for content on the app. Now all these options are scattered in different menus. I have yet to locate the continue watching options.

I'm genuinely confused on what the motivation is behind this update as it significantly detracts from the app experience for me, replacing convenience with frustration. If the point is to bring more value to the user, you've drastically failed for me.

This is atrocious. What is wrong with your devs? Or is it some bored exec's little pet idea? Either way or needs to go.

New experience is terrible - not every app needs to have a feed and stories, and the product person who suggested this should be sacked. Insanely dumb that the first screen I see is not just a list of live channels I follow with their current titles

Absolutely hate the new UI who asked for this? Revert this immediately it's hard to navigate

Just got this new Update, thanks, I hate it…
I don’t like it so much that I went out of my way and searched my password so I could log in here and complain about it…

First of all it’s auto playing stuff, wich is super annoying if I just want to have a look if who I’m currently interested in is online

The ticktocky style of it removes its personality, which was very much just chilling with a stream in the background, now it’s this attention grabbing, swipe until you find something vibe wich im actively trying to get away from

I can’t even scroll through all the people I follow without some other random person being in between that list, that feels pushy and makes me want to go find a long YouTube essay instead….

I liked the overview I had in the previous layout, that is now completely gone

Pls repair the website back to its old character, wich we all grew to love

Why fix something that isn’t broken??? The old twitch app was completely fine. I do not want streams auto playing or scrolling like it’s TikTok. And the following “page”?? Give me back an actual page that will not have streams auto playing in the background. Never in all the years I’ve used twitch, has there ever been such a god awful update, an update that makes me actively want to AVOID, DO YOU HEAR ME? AVOID USING THE APP. REVERT THE CHANGES

This, please. Never before in my life have I witnessed an update that’s so horrid that I felt compelled to make a comment about it on an online forum. There’s not one part of this update that is an upgrade from what it was before.

Hate the setup the way it currently is. Need to be able to see everyone I follow that’s online or just doing reruns. What’s the point of this app otherwise

Indeed. The new design is completely worthless. Can't even see stream titles with the list of streams. Can't see the "continue watching" section. I hate autoplay features, which is the default. Is this atrocity the reason for the price increase? Such a waste of time and money for Twitch.

The new UI is awful. I much preferred seeing ALL of the live streams that I follow. It was a terrible idea to show one live screen, then have to flip through them individually. I agree with everyone else. Please put it back. It was so much better before.

The new mobile app update is beyond terrible. Please revert back!!!
