Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

These changes from a design aspect are terrible. Why is there just one stream visible to me on my home page? Why can't I browse followed and category channels like before? The old design didn't need this overhaul. This is simply bad. And now I'm trying to watch a VOD back and the app literally doesn't work. It keeps crashing the video and just saying "An error occurred". Great, I can't get video playback on the video streaming service. So what's the point? This update is beyond broken. I also LOVE how I came here from my account page IN THE APP and for some unknown ******* reason have to SIGN IN even though I already am. It makes ZERO sense. I'm uninstalling. Thanks for ruining your own app twitch. I've never seen a company constantly make a list of all the possible decisions they can make and consistently pick the worst one more than twitch. It's actually insane and you clearly don't care about your app or its users, just how many ads you can pump to people. It's pathetic

human behaviour makes us resist change and so there's usually a big backlash when things like this get updates, but this backlash is completely fair and justified. the vertical video autoplay on a seemingly random streamer when you open the app is just such a bizarre choice to implement. i know it's twitch trying to be tiktok, but twitch is sooo different from tiktok. it doesn't make sense to me. additionally, not being able to change my "live following channels" order from recommended to most viewers/alphabetical is just bad UI.

The original experience definitely needed some improvements, but this new version is so far in the wrong direction. It makes the app basically unusable for me.

I don't use the mobile app a lot. It's helpful sometimes if I can't get to a computer and there's a stream I don't want to miss completely. But this new version...???? Not worth the effort of figuring it out. Where did everything go? This is the worst upgrade I've seen in quite a while. I hope Twitch rolls this back, otherwise I'm probably just going to uninstall it. I'd rather use the space on my phone for something I don't dislike so much.

As an Australian, I am almost always watching vods and can never catch live stream. Now, I can't see even see whether the channels I follow have streamed, are streaming, or even what I was watching last. Please seriously consider changing the mobile UI back. It's just not functional or user-friendly. .

Feedback wanting to opt out of stories = ignored
Feedback not wanting this update to go through = ignored
I wouldn't be surprised if all this gets ignored too.The old UI already had a feed tab with the walmart tiktok, there was no point in making the feed the home page and making the follow page an extra tap away. You can't even sort your follow list by viewers.

The new UI is horrendous why would I want to click to a button to have to see who I'm following that's live??? Makes me not want to even open the app. And why did they get rid of followed categories?? That's the best feature. Revert the update entirely this is horrible

It randomly changes to a different stream out of nowhere frequently even though the stream I’m watching hasn’t ended or raided. It just started doing that since I updated. I might have to start watching YouTube streams if this continues.

Please revert back to the original layout for mobile, or at least make a few changes to this one.
What I liked about the last layout was that it was built so you could easily use it in either landscape or portrait. Now when you start the mobile app, it forces you to start it in portrait, and then you can switch back to landscape. A frustrating problem happens if you're watching the phone on its side and then go back. Since it automatically switches back to portrait, you have to pick up the phone, hold it up, switch to a different stream, and then lay it down again. You have to do that every time you switch between streams if you want to go to the follow list. Before you could just leave the phone in one position and easily navigate from stream to stream. This newest update has just made the app harder to use.
Also the fact that the home page just autoplays one of your followed streams is annoying. I rather it be like before when I just look at my follow list, see what see what everyone's streaming, and then decide who I will watch. Now this update has made it so I have to click an extra button to see what everyone is streaming. No matter what is autoplaying, I still want to see what everyone is streaming before I decide who I will watch.
Also, making this app more like Tiktok just doesn't make any sense. Tiktok focuses more on shorter videos that people scroll through quickly. Twitch streams are made to be watched for a longer period of time. Making the Twitch app focus more on a portrait format that's meant to be flicked through constantly doesn't make sense. People tend to stick with and watch Twitch streams for longer periods of time instead of just constantly clicking from stream to stream.

First of all, combining all the "ideas" that were complaining about this change is straight up nonsense, a slap to our faces, incredibly insulting.
Secondly, I'll be using the browser version on my phone until TwitchTok reverts to being Twitch.
Thirdly, I've been thinking of branching out or switching to YouTube and/or Kick. This isn't a "threat" of leaving the platform . When things like this happen, it legitimately pushes me further away bc the sense of injustice and willful ignorance this platform puts forward. I immediately started viewing more streams on YouTube, Kick, and mobile browser version of twitch bc this change that no one asked for or wanted makes the viewing exp in the app awful.
