Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

I'm really amazed how they've replaced the old acceptable UI with this tiktok garbage.
Working backwards is'nt the way to improve.
Whoever agreed this update should be fired. -

New App; It’s a huge fail, that’s for sure.

Was looking to see if anyone else was thrown off with the “continue watching” being entirely gone now from the app. It’s absolutely terrible that I have to jump through hoops to find my way to find the streamer I want and click on their page to continue a VOD I want. The UI is beyond horrendous as well with your live channels and people you don’t even follow plastered all over the entire screen as other people stated, like TikTok. And to make it worse, when you do drop your following tab down, it won’t even list everyone that you’re following. I might just follow a crazy amount of people, but I think when you drop down the following and it shows Lives first and then Offlines, it maybe only lists 30 or 50 (I’m guessing) before it cuts out the rest of them. Which forces you to now jump through even more hoops to search for people you literally follow, if they don’t make that list. It’s insane.

The blog for the update says the redesign should help users find the content they want faster, but the new homepage doesn't help in the slightest. Now when I launch the app I either need to scroll through each steamer I follow one by one into their auto-playing steam until I see one I like, or hit the follows button on the top left and view a list that only contains their name and category. How in any way are either of those faster than having a list of thumbnails that I can quickly scroll through for various live channels, clips, past broadcasts, recommendations etc? This update has made browsing through my follows so awkward that I'd rather just not bother and only watch twitch via desktop.

Strongly Agree! I'm relatively new to Twitch and while I don't think that the ios app was 100% perfect, it was at least intuitive enough that I could use it. If I hadn't gotten into twitch until now, I think how generally UN-inutitive it is now, especially with how hard it is to find the streamers I follow now along with how jarring it is to have a stream automatically pop up when the app is opened would put me off this platform entirely. The autoplay genuinely makes me not want to use the platform, and instead of seeking out Twitch when I'm looking for entertainment in general if I don't have access to a desk top, I have been turning to other apps, unless I 100% know a streamer I follow is streaming and then I immediately close the app after they are done.

I actually believe this new update is unusable. For the foreseeable future I will only be accessing streams via direct links on discord or Google, because those would be more convenient than whatever garbage the new homepage is. Please understand I never give feedback on anything, this change is so upsetting and inconvenient, you've made me want to complain.

Possibly the worst app update in the history of mobile applications. Unusable. Have uninstalled if from my phone as even looking at it makes me so angry. Also cancelled Turbo and the majority of my subs as my usage of Twitch (listening to music) has been reduced to pretty much zero.

This change is horrible in so many ways. I had 2 streamers I subscribe to online. Were they the first 2 videos in this view? Of course not they were the 5th and 23rd videos….
Not to mention you are a video sharing platform. Stop trying to mimic TikTok or Reals. They suck, don’t be like them! Just give me a dashboard of thumbnails. I don’t go to Netflix or Hulu or Youtube and have to scroll like this. Why would I scroll like this on Twitch?

This app UX is terrible, I've lost the ability to navigate instead of having anything improved.
Shame on whoever okay-ed this.

The worst part of the update is not being able to easily see the channels I already follow which are the main reason I go on twitch. Force feeding suggested streams is awful choice and horrible for smaller streamers.

I got the old app installed by reinstalling but twitch ignored the auto update checkbox and updated anyways while I was sleeping.
I feel very violated and pretty sure Google tos was broken in the process. -

+1,
I want to see a high level overview of all the live streams that I follow. The preview image influences which stream i watch. Having to swipe through each stream is an abysmal system.

This is the actual worst update to an app ive ever witnessed. ever. in history.
its annoying, I cant easily access what i actually want. Its just throwing me around like tik tok. this is so dumb. I dont understand how this was passed through the idea phase. Its so embarrassingly bad that I hope all of those involved in pushing this through get fired.
Please give us an option to revert it back to the old app. -

Where is my "followed games" list? Why can I not sort my followed channels by amount of viewers? Why can I not chose the landing page myself when opening the app? Why can I not have a stream open anymore while searching for other streams, why does it auto-close now
I don't understand who thought "yeah, our community, our users definitely want this over the old UI" -

I hate the autoplaying videos that you scroll to infinity, it's invasive and you cannot pause them. I want an overview of my followed channels and recommended channels like before. The front page is a worse duplicate of the Browse Live channels page. I also miss the Recommended channels. And for the minimized player inside the app in the right bottom corner, I like better just swiping to close it and tapping to maximize it, I don't need the pause button.

I hate this new live feed on app open. It makes everything 10 times more stressful, to be smacked in the face by random running stream. I checked it out a bit and have zero interest in any of the proposal, when they aren't full on cringe.
I open twitch to visit the stuff I want, and when no one is live, I absolutely know how to use the search button.Saying this is publish because people want new stuff and doesn't know how to find it is disrespectful and false. If it were the answer, you'd add a "random feed" button on the search page.
This is just another attempt at tiktok-fying the internet, without, ONCE AGAIN, accepting that the way people doom -scroll on TikTok is EXTREMELY different to way people scroll on app when they have a purpose. Again, if people are bored and in need of new stuff, sticking a "random feed" button on the search page would be perfect.
Throwing nonsense streams in our face when we log in? Not helpful for anyone. It's loud, it's annoying, it's stressful to see things moving when maybe I just want a cozy stream.
Don't hide your need for more views/money behind face "the people are stupid and need help to find new streams". People do know how to use the effing search button.

Avid Twitch Mobile user for years.
Your new design is horrible.
I want to see my follows.
I want to see the vods to continue watching.I do not care who you think I will like. Don't put them on my frontpage. I find people when I want to see new people.
Built my own app so I can use Twitch as before.

I think everyone is in agreement that this is the worst update ever and the higher ups at Twitch are so out of touch, the TikTok style aspect needs to be removed! you should have just used these resources to improve the old app version not a total overhaul that nobody asked for.

I don't think I have ever seen such a universally hated update ever done to an app, that has resulted in so much outrage. Negative reviews on Google Play have more than doubled in the last 24 hours, and I doubt it will slow down as people get more frustrated.
Keep voicing your displeasure on the app stores and upvoting these complaints.
