Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

I reverted to an older apk and turned off auti-update. The new UX is awful. Good for finding random streamers you may or may not want to see, yes. Good for literally anything else, no.
To those whose comments were "consolidated" be sure to press vote on this one. (Should say VOTED! under the count, least is for android mobile).

Just change back the app to what it was before this awful update please.

I just received notification that all the comments were combined into this one. After about a week of trying to use the new layout I’ve been repeatedly frustrated with viewing VODs in particular. It’s nearly impossible to find any longer. Please change it back the old app worked really well.

I already cancelled my Turbo and I am currently looking for a new platform.
Unfortunately, I doubt they will revert it as pride is a **** of a thing and many have fallen due to it. Twitch will simply be next on the list.

I understand why you want to encourage people to discover new streams, but this is crazy - you have a different market to tiktok, try embracing that.

I actually came for that, and I’m happy to see many folks don’t want that TikTok aspect too. I really don’t know what happened in Twitch office, but this is awfully horrific. I don’t want to open the app because of this. It’s ugly as ****, and this is NOT twitch. I don’t even know why it has gone that far.

This update is pretty bad, I'm not sure how it got approved. I strongly dislike the tiktokification of everything

Can’t even refresh twitch no more, the new app is rubbish. A lot of people I know don’t like it, please take it back to the old one

I've been pondering about this. I think there's two ways we as streamers/users could go about this.
If twitch will keep ignoring our voice, we can either, defund the company. I.e. switch to private rewards/payments and and move all the money Away from twitch.
Or Make our own open source app. something that has stuff like bttv support and many more features we've been begging for years.
Honestly I don't want the company to go under, since twitch is a pretty cool website. hewever, I'm not going to just let them bully us into more ******** like other companies do these days. I'm honestly done with this treatment.

Terrible update. I hate it. My favorite streamer doesn't stream when I can watch and I usually want to watch their VOD. Now I have to click 10 times to find the video again. Instead of the Continue Watching being listed on the front page, which was super convenient.
Please make this TikTok front page garbage go away!

These changes are not customer centric. The new Navigation is not intuitive and is actively frustrating. I will be unlikely to use the phone app with the current interface. For the love of all that is peculiar please do not do this to your other platforms.

That's the fun part Bob, you can't. Apparently "increasing discovery" means making it harder to find the people you already follow. The live followed list is not sorted alphabetically, or by view count, date followed, or any other order I can figure out. And you can't change it either. It's objectively worse than before, for no apparent reason. Auto playing video of people we're not following and often never heard of was deemed more important for some reason.
It also loves to just close out whatever you were watching when you hit the Back button on Android trying to close a pop up menu or extension. Stutters a lot more when playing also, especially when tapping on other things while in PiP mode. Clip button failed every time for the first few days but seems like it's working now. The previous versions were janky & had some glitches, but this one seems like a significant step backward so far.

I truly don't understand why they decided to completely ruin the mobile app, it was fine before and now I refuse to watch on anything but desktop. The update is universally hated and they won't even acknowledge it.

Switching over to a different app while listening to a streamer was a little annoying before, constantly having to maximize to full screen, hitting play again etc. Now it’s practically unusable. I cannot stand the inefficiency of using the app and I’m not sitting at my pc all day. I hate this so much.

If y'all want this to change, start cancelling your subs and write the new UI as the reason for the cancellation.
