Bring back followed categories
I am on the new Twitch app just released today.
Where are the followed categories? I don't want some algorithm to recommend me what's popular or what it thinks I want to watch, I want to watch games I want to watch, and there are so many that it is difficult to recall at any time. I want to know whether there are viewers or not even if there is nobody streaming these games. Don't replace followed categories with recommendation algorithms even if it is so called predictive. Also, no need to improve prediction models and so on, just bring back followed categories.

I searched this topic up hoping someone else had suggested it already. I feel the same way. You STILL can't do this on twitch mobile since the big update. I used this feature all the time. It was so nice to open the app and see if anyone was live in my followed categories. I especially like this feature for small indie games to see if anyone's playing them at the moment. I can't do that now. I used to find so many new streamers using that feature.

Agree! I just heard back from Twitch Support who said to log this on User Voice. It is ridiculous, I loved finding new streamers from my favourite games. Now I have to search each game individually, it is so stupid. I hope they change it!
