I’m okay with banner ads or other routinely playing commercial breaks but DO NOT put pop-up graphical ads directly over the stream. That is uncalled for. I’m going to switch to YouTube if this starts occurring more. Not cool at all.

I have literally just closed the Twitch app after being assaulted with the future of TEN ADS IN A ROW. I closed it in the middle of the second one. Not only is this a loss of revenue to the streamer or Twitch but it’s an abysmal awful user experience in an already too saturated, ad-infected internet. I thought YouTube was excessive for having unskippable ads or multiple ads you can’t skip until 30 seconds in. TEN??????? Rethink that number. Get it down to like, three. DON’T do it again.

I can’t even watch a stream without having to watch 3 min of ads constantly. It was never like this. Now they want $15 a month to get rid of them. It’s extortion at this point. I’ll just stick with YouTube.

There are so many ads now. I see why people no longer use twitch and why it makes no money for Amazon. Thanks for screwing the few remaining lurkers.
