Revert chat overlay back
The new chat overlay is so awful. It needs to be reverted back. You only can see one message at a time, it just looks worse. I hate how with the new one it destroys the way double tap to bring up chat works. Instead of just doing it once to bring up chat in the way you could choice chat overlay of column chat now you have to rotate through them individually which just makes it so janky.

Reached out to support for help with the chat overlay not disappearing and then they just referred me to leave my feedback so here I am, leaving said feedback. The chat overlay needs an option to be fully disabled. It used to fully go away. So am I to understand that this is intended? Having part of the stream be blocked off? For things that no one ever uses?

They just need to make the chat resizable with pinch and zoom, as well as removing the useless icons that are overlayed opposite of the chat. It should only bring up those buttons if you tap on the screen.
I like having the chat overlay, but I only use the “1 message at a time” mode. If I make it big, it takes up too much of the screen. Just make it resizable and that’s no longer an issue.

I agree, this overlay is awful, super janky, blocks the screen… just really bad. I dont find any use on it and i find it more of an annoyance. Have to click like 3 buttons to disable it and it just comes back everytime i go back to full screen.
