Reintroduce "Pinch to Zoom" on Mobile

After a recent update to version 5.8 on January 17, 2018 a feature on iOS mobile was removed to be able to "pinch to zoom" in on areas of the stream. Being on mobile with an already smaller screen, when I'm watching Magic: The Gathering streams, it's really important for me to be able to zoom in on the various cards to read details of the print. With this new update, the streams are locked into the "full screen" view and it makes it much more difficult to view.

Is there a possibility to reintroduce the "pinch to zoom" functionality in a future update? There is currently a reddit thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/7rf8l6/was_ability_to_zoom_pinch_removed_in_the_latest/

    For some reason my screen is a little zoomed in, it is annoying because I can't see my points.

    Please fix this IOS it auto zooms in for me and makes many streams unwatchable because I can’t see all of what’s happening!! Really important issue

    I second this, mainly because most new phones use 18:9 and its annoying to see black bars, i dont mind chopping a little bit of the screen for the sake of having the video full screen

    I was wondering why I couldn’t zoom in. I am legally blind and zooming in on either the gameplay window or any text was a lifesaver.

    Really annoying that this was removed without notice. Bring it back! And while you’re on it... also bring back the time and battery status at the top of the screen! Thank you!

    Really a vital feature when watching on a device like an iPhone or iPad. If there's anyway you can reintroduce back into the app it would be appreciated.

    This feature is very valuable to me for watching Pokemon_TCG streams. Trying to see the field of cards on mobile is extremely difficult to see without zooming in.

    Yes please bring this back. I can use the native iOS double-tap zoom but it nowhere near as friendly or precise. The pinch zoom was a big differentiator for me between twtich and other streaming apps.

    Twitch is my favorite app because of all these little UX details. Don’t backtrack on such a good track record so far :(. Also, please include detailed patch notes.

    Just want to add my 2 cents on this issue, even though I've heard the plan is already in place to bring it back. This function is invaluable when watching streams where things are already small, even on a tv sized screen. Terraria comes to mind. The characters are already very tiny, and when watching on my ipad, the zoom feature makes it watchable.

    Literally getting so ****ing frustrated with not being able to use this feature anymore, I find myself squinting even with glasses on to see some things on some streams. No reason whatsoever to remove this, just as there was no reason to remove being able to see the time and battery percentage too.

    This really is a ‘deal breaker’ for the app to not have the ability to zoom like before. It is incredibly frustrating to not be able to see game text, streamer’s notifications, fine details in games, etc. I watched several Fortnite streams today and I have no chance of seeing any death notifications (snipe distance). I’m watching Lirik stream a new game and I can’t zoom in on any of the finer text or icons on screen to read them. It makes it even worse to have chat up at the same time, taking up even more landscape from the actual video.

    Please bring this back. I’d say I use zooming more than any other feature in the app.
