  2. Something that would be incredibly helpful, given the Unity plugin’s heavy reliance on asynchronous tasks, is support for System.Threading.CancellationToken. Many of the user-initiated operations in my game are asynchronous in nature and can be cancelled or skipped by the user if they run for too long, so I make heavy use of Unity 2023’s async/await support and .NET's cancellation tokens to interrupt long-running HTTP requests and clean up resources. As it stands, I can check the cancellation token’s status before and after each call to the Twitch API, but if the calling method is cancelled externally during that time due…

    Great, now you’re ready to build your first game with Twitch. Head over to our Unity Guide, Unreal Blueprint Guide or Unreal C++ Guide to get started.

  4. Hey all, I didn't know where to suggest this, but I was talking with a streamer a couple of nights ago about a feature that could be beneficial for viewers and content creators: Drop Tokens. I'm an adult witha busy schedule, I try and watch my normal favorites when I can but I can't alway keep up with the drop schedules or streamer schedules for that matter.

    It'd be nice to be able to earn tokens by viewing streams regularly or during drop events, say for like example, if you already have earned a drop that's currently up. Instead of…

  5. The scopes for "Update User Extensions" and "Get User Active Extensions" are different on differant pages.
    On https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/authentication/scopes/ it's "channel:manage:extensions" but on https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference it's "user:edit:broadcast".
    This feedback is related to another one I've posted, https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/47456123-missing-scope-user-edit-broadcast

  6. The URL for endpoint "Get Stream Key" is missing the "GET" request Method in the reference documentation. This is the only endpoint with this issue.

  7. A permalink that accepts a channel id and redirects to the user's channel.

    For example, twitter has https://twitter.com/i/user/{user_id}
    and discord has: https://discordapp.com/users/{user_id}

    It would be extremely helpful if twitch had something like:
    https://twitch.tv/user/{channel_id}

  9. Can we please have an endpoint to update Content Classification labels! Some our games are gory but most of them aren't so it would be nice to automate adding that label!

  10. Currently there is no way to SORT your Twitch Drop Campaigns in the Twitch Developers Drops page.

    As I am making new campaigns it just randomly places them in the list. Before with the Legacy (and much better interface, it is missed) all campaigns would be in order of creation, and you could SORT them. Right now there is no sorting allowed.

    Please add in a sorting feature!

  11. Similar to the Bits Leaderboard, please add a gifted subs leaderboard API, so we can see everyone who has gifted a sub in the channel.
    So People can show in their overlay who is the top sub gifter (or the top sub gifters). This will make people see that when gifting subs they will show up in the stream and that streamers appreciate them.
    Consequently there will be more people subscribe logically to be appreciated and that would make them and others gift more subs to the streamers.

    (I saw there was a request / an idea for that too…

  14. Sometimes you can end up with an extension where you have multiple versions under 'In Development', but ultimately you can only release one version.

    Unlike the current active version, in-development versions aren't deprecated when a new version is released, so you can end up with old in-development versions that you can't do anything with (assuming you want to stick to some form of a convention for the version numbers).

    It'd be great if the dashboard allowed you to delete/deprecate in-development versions, so you can clear out the extra versions, or allowed you to change the version number for in-development versions,…

  15. There should be a minimal method of getting basic information about a Channel Point Reward e.g. Custom Name, using only its ID.

    For example, lets say we listen to the redeem event with tmi.js, all we're given (as far as I can see) is the rewardId. I'd want to be able to use this rewardId to fetch more basic,non-private information, such as the Reward's custom name, without the need for a user token from the broadcaster.

    If we're able to fetch basic stream information (e.g. title, game) without the need for a broadcaster's token, we SHOULD be able to at…

  17. Provide the ability to remove a given cheer from the pin bar without a moderation action/timeout

    Logically this should work for the user that cheered (self unpin) or a moderator of the channel
