Pinned messages API
Please provide an API to
- pin existing message
- pin a new message
- unpin a message
Which should work using a moderators token in line with the announced new feature
We're planning to add support for pinned messages in the API and EventSub.

Is this still 'planned' or has it moved into development?

Please allow us to pin messages within the mobile twitch app!

I would love my twitch overlay to be able to include the pinned comment directly in the video feed. Either through my own system setting the pinned comment and adding to the overlay or through a pinned comment event triggering the overlay to add the pinned comment.

Any news on progress of this idea? It's been a year since you were planning it...

Hi devs, is it possible to give an update on this suggestion? The last update was a year ago and this is the 2nd most upvoted idea.

I see that this still doesn't exist yet...

I'd like to update my chat bot to automatically pin a message at the start of each stream for a Question of the Day and similar stuff.
It's been nearly a year - any word of pinned messages being added to the API in the near future?

I would like to ask about the status of this. It would be great to have this available for various integrations. Has this been added into the roadmap yet, and if so, when should we be able to expect it?
Thanks,

I have a number of buttons on my Stream Deck for configuring the stream in different ways depending on what game I'm playing and whether I'm playing solo or with a friend.
Some of these include enabling a command to (for example) join the game I'm playing. When setting up, I have to manually trigger one of these commands, and then pin the response to the top of the chat, setting it to remain until the stream stops.
If there were an API to do this, I could have my Bot software do the pinning automatically, and remove the risk of me forgetting to do it.

I have a jigsaw puzzle for when I take a break. vip and mods can send a command into chat with a link that sets the overlay to the puzzle. then if a VIP sends it they have to wait for a mod to pin the link. it would be super useful if my bot application can pin it for the user when the command is sent
example:
user runs command
!brblink URL
my application tells my broadcast software to update the overlay to the urlbut there is no way to update the pinned comment so sending an api call that says pin this post so others who are just coming into chat can see the new links would be great..

Rather than sending somewhat poor quality comments. Do you think you could explain you use cases.
If we have use cases/reasoning and votes it's a lot easier to push the uservoice forward upstairs, "any updates" type nudges just needless spams upvoters/commentors (**** I don't care destory my inbox, I just want to get quality comments as thats more useful to get this pushed)
